Returning to stock?

Ok, I see a guide on here about returning to stock but it sends me to some verizon moto phone to return to stock and not the atrix. HOw do I do it?

menu/settings/privacy/factory data reset

this will completely wipe your phone and return it to out of the box conditions

Will this actually help if I uploaded a custom rom such as that ginger blur or adeo though?

I did this to my atrix. It removed root privileges but not sideloading!
