Reverting back question

Once I root and install the 2.2 leak,

Can I revert back to the stock unrooted android I had before so I can get the official update when it happens?

Is the leaked ota instructions on:

Fairly safe?

Do a nandroid back up than apply 2.2, If you are not happy with it you can go into recovery and flash back to the way your were. Most if not all 2.2 want you to update radio and that can not easily be undone.

As far as downgrading the radio...wouldn't it be as simple as just flashing an older radio if you have S-Off ?

I had to go back to stock. I flashed it with this How to downgrade back to 1.00 radio and .77 HBOOT for the OTA (S-OFF ONLY!!!) - xda-developers and had no problems. I backed up my apps using appbrain and was good to go. Took the OTA update from big red. I already have s-off so I just hit it with revoked3 and rooted. All is working good.
