Review an app without google plus

Hello,

Is it required from google play store to have a google plus account to review an app?
In case I have to create a google plus account, is there a way to not be seen by my gmail contacts?

As far as I know, you'll need a G+ account to review apps, comment on YouTube, or provide any other feedback about Google-hosted content. You can thank Google. I can't really answer your second question, as I haven't taken the G+ plunge yet. I'll leave that for the more knowledgeable member below me in the next post...
