I’m a Sprint customer so I do. But I agree it sucks only being on carrier. I have also heard that the unlocked variant won’t be available until 9/1 which I’m wondering if it’s some type of exclusivity for Sprint? If so that’s going to create some bad tastes in those who reserved it...

Obviously no ill-intent directed toward you personally. If Sprint causes further delay then that's definitely going to hurt those of us who reserved, especially reservations done in the first week of announcement. We should get priority for being first regardless of Spring. Hopefully that ends up being the case.

Where did you hear 9/1 on availability for unlocked? Is that for Amazon/Best Buy or direct through Essential? I could see them selling direct and through Sprint right away and Amazon/BB a couple weeks later.

Staggered rollouts are dumb either way.

From a Best Buy manager so take it with a grain of salt but he said 8/18 for Sprint and 9/1 for unlocked and then a couple days later (today) 8/18 leaked from Sprints employee site so I have no reason to doubt him yet

Yeah I’m not sure I can wait any longer past Friday.. May just end up with U11 or Z2 Force as I only have my iPhone right now and am getting sick of not having an Android. Normally have both but been holding out for PH-1 after returning my S8

It's already been about 11 weeks since announcement. Time flies. Another couple days or weeks won't matter in the end. It sucks to wait but patience is becoming a lost art.

I'm sticking it out. No other phone interests me right now.
