Android OS, Android System, and Voice Mail are eating up all my battery power. Down to 30% from a full charge in the 3 hour drive home from the airport. Phone was not used once. Fix your screw up, Verizon/Motorola!
The thing that drains batteries the most when a phone is being used no matter what you're using it for is the SCREEN BRIGHTNESS. Keep it as low as you possibly can. I turned my screen brightness all the way down & that IS the only thing that solved my battery issues even after doing soft & hard factory resets, shutting the phone off while charging, letting it completely die & then charging it to 100%, disabling apps, restricting permissions & background data, everything I could do, and even though the system didn't show the screen as the biggest battery killer percentage wise, overall it still is and the brightness was definitely the problem. Having your brightness all the way up or even having the auto-adjust feature on is going to kill your battery. I keep my brightness all the way down as often as possible and when I do turn it up to look at photos or to read, I always turn it right back down as soon as I'm down. Also, SNAPCHAT, THE FACEBOOK APP & FACEBOOK MESSENGER are horrible battery killers & they are constantly running in the background snooping around & invading your privacy WHILE killing your battery. For apps like that, I install it if I want to use it & then clear all date uninstall as soon as I'm done. Always clear your cache on svsey single all on your phone as often as possible or get a cleaner to do it for you (such as CCleaner or Cleanmaster) but don't clear all data unless you want it to log you out & literally clear any & all data from the app, so just clear your cache. Also Beware of the chargers you are using. Some of these turbochargers just say the battery life is much higher than it actually is. It'll put your battery up to 80% and 20 minutes but then if you turn your phone off and restart it I'll see your battery is really only at 20%. Look into restricting background data for applications because a lot of applications are sneaky and they will still do things in the background even if you restrict the permissions to do so. Just be careful of what you install all together. Tweak your settings. And turn that brightness down. The flashlight is also a battery drainer along with the camera being open. Close your apps when they're not being used. Don't install those nice animated live wallpapers either, not worth the space it takes up & ram / battery usage. So many simple little things will save you so much battery, however, the best thing to do is to get a portable battery. I take mine EVERYWHERE & put it on the charger as soon as I get home so it's always ready to go with me when I leave the house. It's a billion times better than a car charger and they're so much smaller & lighter, a must have for anyone who uses their phones entire battery in one day easily or for people who just forget to charge their phones.
