Right pull down menu now has cast screen button

Anybody else notice that the right pull down menu now has a cast button and this causes the window to be very glitchy and do kind of like a double take when pulling it down?
This is really annoying!

Yup, I'm seeing that too. I'll see if I can report that bug to Google.

Noticed that the blinking occurs if you swipe down quickly and release your finger. If you swipe down somewhat slowly, there isn't as much of a hitch. Still a bug, though.

exactly, like it needs a little time to load up that cast screen button as your pulling down the window. this completely destroys how I fluidly navigate about my tablet.

Do you have a Chromecast? It'll only show up if you have a Chromecast.

maybe that's what I will do then. unplug my sons chromecast so I don't get that annoying stuttering when I pull down the menu

no, it is due to the recent update to the google play service system app I think.

I do not have Chromecast and do have the "cast screen" button. I do have a Roku, however.

Thanks for letting me know--that's odd, I thought that button wouldn't be made available if a Chromecast wasn't detected on your network.
