Ringke Slim Nexus 5 case

Mine was supposed to be delivered on Friday, but the Icepocalypse really set UPS back. I got the white version for my white phone. I am really hoping it plays nice with screen protectors.

I can't say I've used that specific case from Rearth, but we just got the Nexus 5 Ringke Fusion Cases in stock a couple days ago. They sent us a sample some time back and I've been using this case on my N5 ever since. It's definitely slim, easy to use, works with wireless chargers and can handle a (minor) drop. The transparent back is a neat addition as well. My only complaint is it picks up EVERY fingerprint and smudge. Aside from that, I'm pretty satisfied with mine. Cheers 1.jpg

^^^Thanks for sharing! Hmmm, now I'm tempted to get it as a second case. :D

my Ringke slim case has the sharp edges others have referenced. I received it 3 days ago.

Can anyone else confirm that it nearly pulls the back of the phone off when removing it? I don't even get how that's possible

FYI,

I used sandpaper and sanded down the inside a little bit - still fits as snugly, but now doesn't try to rip the phone apart when I take the case off! Perfect, I love this case. Very storm trooper-eqsue in white

Does the white case have a plasticky/non grippy texture like the white Nexus 5 or does it have the rubbery-satin texture like the black Nexus 5?

Okay, now you have me wanting the white one, too! The description says it has a light texture to it, and that is also available in mint green. Of all the cases that I have, this is by far my favorite one.

OK, so I just came home from travel to 2 new Ringke Slim cases; one white and one mint. Now I have all 3! Love these cases :)

It's smooth like the phone, but with a slightly more "satin" finish, so it shines ever so slightly.

After you got them what do you think of the texture? It feels pretty smooth to me, like there isn't any texture at all LOL.

Also, I concur that the case is really tight and difficult to remove. It fits well, though, but I switch cases often. Also, the edges are sharp, and I just received mine at the beginning of January. I understand it's a cheap case, but if I need to go buy sandpaper and spend time making it the way it should be in the first case why not just spend a bit more on a case that doesn't have those issues to begin with?

For reference, I also have the Spigen Slim Armor, Neo Hybrid, and the official Nexus bumper. I prefer all of those over the Ringke, almost purely because of the difficulty in removing the case. I feel like it's going to rip the buttons off, and I did also have it grab the back of the phone and want to take that off too.

Guess I'm the lucky one. Three cases, none with sharp edges and not that tough to remove.

Buy what you prefer. I'm not trying to sell anyone on it. Just my case of preference.

I personally did not like this case.

The wireless charging orb left a mark on it, it didn't seem to protect it well, among other things.

I just received this case. My first impression is that I love how slim it is. The fit is really tight and some of the edges are a little sharp but nothing that I would sand off. I took off the case a couple of times to test it out and it is a little tough to take off. I wouldn't just snap the case off. My recommendation would be to slowly pry it corner to corner. Other than that this is exactly what I wanted. A slim case to provide a little protection for the camera.

If you look the edges of the case that go along the screen they fold over the screen if you're not careful like me. That edge will get between the small separation between the back cover and the phone. Another thing that I don't like about it is that there's no protection on the screen either on the top or bottom. I already dropped and I thought I broke the screen. I may get a different one by the end of next week with more protection.

On the opposite side the feel is very nice smooth, hard to get finger print on it. And keep the phone slim. The back is full of scratches, but is hard to tell. You have to get the right angle to see them. I am very rough with the phone I put it down on all kind of surfaces. Power plant environment.

I got mine on Friday and I think its a great case so far. Coming from the official bumper case this is WAY slimmer and actually retains the feeling of the phone.
I dont have any sharp edges on mine, they all seem to be rounded off.
