Ringtone issue

So i have my mp3 ringtones in the correct folder for my phone, but once in a while, i will lose all sounds coming out of my phone. Like, one minute itll work perfectly fine, and then the next, nothing, i get no sound for calls, sms, IMs, etc. are you others getting this issue as well?

is there any advice i can get regarding this issue?

In addition to these problems, i have encountered the following:

my phone overheats when browsing

my battery barely lasts 10 hours with light usage

my screen auto-highlights icons on its own

Take it back for another Droid. My Droid. Does none of those things.

Try to power on and off. This fixed a similar problem for me.
