Ringtone issues

Stock nexus 6, I used ringdroid to cut a mp3 to a ringtone. I chose the tone and I get calls and it still plays the stock tones

Yea it plays the tone fine when I choose it

I was able to get ringtones to play by putting them in the ringtones folder on the phone.

Someone also had a ringtone issue earlier today. Make sure that it's in: media/audio/ringtones. You might have to create the folder.

Maybe it's the Ringdroid app? Perhaps interfering somewhere with the notifications/ringtones and Lollipop. Try uninstalling the app (while still having the mp3 ringtone in the media/audio/ringtones folder) and see if it works.

I had the same problem with ringdroid, then I switched to ringtone Maker,and it worked

Every time that I flash a new CM12 nightly the ringtones that I have installed in the root/system/media/audio/ringtones being cancelled.. how to avoid it?
