Ringtone keeps resetting

I set a custom ringtone and it keeps reverting to the default ringtone

I had the same issue. Ended up that my problem was I was using an app called "Sound Profile". Once I got the app sound set to the same notification as the system, it quit driving me creazy.

Make sure those custom ringtones are in ringtone folder or notification folder in My files app
