Ringtone pause before looping?

I made a ringtone which can be looped into one continuous ringtone, I was very disappointed to see that the s7 inserts a 1 second delay after playing the ringtone before starting it again.

is this:
a) just my phone
b) all s7
c) most android phones
d) all android phones

And is there any way to make the sound loop with 0 delay other than to expand it from a few second clip into a 30 second clip manually? yes i know storage is cheap, it just feels like the wrong solution.

did you save as .ogg file ? I had issues with ringtones in mp3 format.

I did mp3 first, then after some reading made an ogg with ANDROID_LOOP set to TRUE after reading in a sort of remotely related issue suggestion

I will try wave tonight just in case

any idea if its android, samsung, or just the s7?

I am not sure if it is all Android phones, but I think my Honor 8 also has a slight delay if ringtones needed to be looped/repeated. I can't always tell because I usually answer my phones too quickly.
