Ok I have looked through 10 pages of the forums and I have tried to search but I have not come up with anything.

My friend has the first droid and downloded an album to his phone. The original ringtones still work on the phone however if he tries to putit on a ringtone that he created with ringdroid it does not play in preview mode or when he tries to call his phone. The phone still vibrates and everything but the ringtone does not work.

We have tried a battery pull but it did not fix the problem. Any ideas?

Create a folder called audio on the SD card then 2 folders inside that named ringtone and notifications, and place tones accordingly. I had to do this to get sounds I downloaded from the internet to work as a notification, maybe it will work for you.

I'd put it in a folder called media and then audio

iirc Android looks for \media first

I have custom notifications in /media/audio/notifications, works just fine.
