Ringtone Repeating Before it Actually Ends

Hello Again! I was wondering if anybody had any insight on what I could do about my ringtone and if anybody else had this problem. I downloaded it from Zedge and I've tried another app like it, I just don't remember the name. But basically, my problem is that my ringtone cuts out after about 6-7 seconds and then repeats those 6-7 seconds, even if the actual ringtone is more like 30 seconds, which mine is. Thanks in advance!

It's probably related to those ringtone apps. You don't need a fancy app to make a custom tone. If you wanted to, you could select a full mp3 as your ringtone -- just copy the file to your /Ringtones directory (using a file manager app). If you want to edit it down a little, though, you could use a basic ringtone editor like Ringdroid.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll be sure to try that out! The only reason I was using Zedge was because I wanted a specific ringtone that I wasn't able to find elsewhere.

With Zedge, you probably don't need the app to access their ringtones. On your computer, go to zedge.net and search for the ringtone. You can download ringtones directly from their site, and then copy the file over to your phone.

Ok, so downloading from my computer and then copying over to my phone should allow the whole ringtone to play out? If that's the case, what do you think is the problem with downloading directly from the app? Again, thank you.

I've never tried it, but I think any mp3 file will play out completely for as long as the phone will ring (which, assuming you have voicemail set up, still shouldn't last for more than about 10 seconds or so). The problem you were facing is likely an issue with that particular ringtone app -- you could try emailing the app developer to see if they're aware of the issue.
