I was searching for ways to prevent ringtones and other unwanted music files to appear in my phone's native music player but cannot find a workaround. Anyone come up with a solution?

That will also delete any jpg files randomly from the folder containing that file.

If you are rooted move your ringtones to /system/media/audio/ringtones

what about just creating the media folder in the sd card and then create these 4 folders "notifications, alarms, ringtones, and audio" i have my ringtones there and i dont have any problems with music player playing those sounds.

I you look in the list of folders on the X, there is one (under the existing folder titled Media? not sure and can't look it up now) that contains separate folders for notification and ringtone sounds - alarms I don't know about, other than being drawn from the notification files. If you put your ringtones into these folders, they aren't in with the music.

Plug in the X via USB, open the SD card as if a flash drive. Check folders. You can arrange and rearrange what's there ... including adding folders.
