Roaming / poor network connection

I'm pretty sure thats not AWS speeds...

This was taken with my Note 2...If I'm not mistaken AWS allows for speeds of up to 150mbps

I know that I used to be "Extended" & my phone was nothing but useless while Verizon was upgrading. Maybe that's the case...it took about 3-4 weeks until everything was good for me...In my area.

That could still potentially be b13. This is a b4 speed test, note that I don't have 20x20mhz deployed in my area.

And while b4 can get speeds up to 150mbps theoretically where 20x20mhz is deployed , Verizon has only provisioned it for 80-100mbs depending on location, with 50-70mbps provisioned for b13,since Verizon uses 150 mbps backhaul.

I'm at my wits end with this phone!!! This roaming issue is ridiculous! How many phones do I need to go through before Verizon fixes this issue for me? I'm sure I could just get a different phone but I don't want a different phone! I want this one to work! There's no reason that this phone should fluctuate signal as much as it does. I goes from nearly full bars of fast 4G lte to roaming while I'm sitting in the same chair! It's maddening!

Man, I hate to hear that. I am so happy now with the replacement phone. Not one second of issues. It really locks in the signal. I can be at a -110 dbm LTE signal and still get 12 - 14 mbps speeds. I wonder if your replacement phone is a newer version? I read in another forum that sticker dates of 11/13 and above were having the least problems.

Maybe I should just try another replacement and hope for the best. This has been one of the most frustrating phones I've ever owned. Really unfortunate because my Note 2 was one of the best experiences I've had with a piece of electronics. I guess it could be worse. It works perfectly fine almost every where I go except when I'm at work. But that's 8 hours of my day where I need my phone to work!

My phone NEVER "roamed" in the middle of the city. Now it is roaming all the damn time! At home! Only since kk update and I have reset. Still problems. Ugh.

I'm on my 3rd note 3 now and it's OK but still has bad service in certain areas...

The quality of the signal on my note 3 has been deteriorating for the last 2 months. Used to be good, now it struggles to find a signal at all while I'm at work. Very frustrating

Hey I'm having very similar issues with my Note phones. I had the Note 2 for almost a year, and upgraded to the Note 3 in December I believe. I work as a Border Patrol Agent along the Texas/Mexico border and have had the same issues with both phones. I may have 4g lte service, but after a bit of sitting in the same location near the river, I all of a sudden go to Mexico roaming (while still in the U.S) and can not drop the Mexico roaming until I drive several miles north away from Mexico, where my phone can I guess no longer pick up the Mexico signal. It is extremely annoying to have to deal with, as I spend most of my days along the river, and have to make the drive away from it to get my phone to drop the roaming. The weirdest part is is that I can have extremely good 4g LTE service, and boom, Mexico roaming. It's like it just picks up the tower out of no where. The phone allows you to disable the data roaming, but not the voice and text roaming. Thus, I'm stuck not using my phone half of my shift. I've tried putting it into airplane mode and then switching back, as well as restarting the phone, but none of these work. The ONLY thing that works is driving a mile or more further north away from Mexico. I've tried talking to Verizon about it, as well as Samsung, and nobody can offer any solutions that have worked. If I go with an iPhone, I have the option of disabling the voice roaming, but I can't give up my Note 3.
