[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

Everything is running well on the new ROM, so thank you Dev's!! I did, however, have a question about the voltage control. This is my first voodoo kernel, so I don't really know anything about it. Is there any kind of tutorial about changing voltages on AC? I guess I have a crude understanding of what it does; just not a clue as to where to start. Maybe someone could post a link if there is such a threat, or else maybe give me a brief description how it works, how the schedulers work, etc. Thanks for anyone's help. And thanks again to all the dev's who made this ROM possible.

There is not an established table of voltages that will work. You have to try out different settings and find what works well with your phone. There is a link to an XDA thread but it is very limited..

I have posted the settings I am using and the hope is that others will try to differing settings as well..

I can tell you that if you dial down the settings too low the phone locks up and does not respond or goes to sleep and enters the Sleep of Death..

Many posters are stopping between -25 and -75 for most settings.. few are going aggressive with -100... If you go that low on the high end of the clock (1000 or higher) your phone may become very sluggish and may take extra long to wake.

I will be able to detail some instructions... when I get a good handle on the app.

This app is free from the market.. Even a vid on Youtube - link

I refreshed the SOD Post. Maybe if we get it, we should follow the old steps. Go back to DL09 then up to ED01, wipe cache and data, then flash the CR. If I get it, I will fix permissions first, then go back to the old steps.

I did have an issue where the market was not showing my apps, but I cleared the data and now they show up. Just in case anyone else has this issue.

Plz let me kno if u figure somethin out I been SOD on every rom since EC01 dropped n have gone all the way back to DI01 n OTA up before flashing a custom rom several times

Did you change your voltage settings? I got the SOD last night with a low battery warning, but since changing my Voltage settings, that stopped. I have not gotten it today, but it has only been off the charger since 8 am. I have been steady using it. So I am not sure if I will get it this time or not.

You can do the update.zip in the official froyo quick, to go down to stock and wipe. you may also try to install the s/d or another theme to see if that will cure it again like before.

OK...I've read through all 37 pages (so far). And I'm getting ready to take the plunge.
I'm running SC2.9.2 with the EC10 kernal CWM is a 2.5.1 (red). I'm not sure what modem is installed (I installed superclean from the one step installer some time ago) so I'm assuming EB01. So here is what I *think* I need

EC01 modem
CWM 330
Community ROM

Install ECO1 and CWM 330 via ODIN
DL the new ROM to the SD card
Boot to CWM and install ROM.
Crack a cold one...

If any of this wrong. Please steer me straight.

Mike

What would cause the screen to be green, like a green tint, when you unlock the phone? It only like that for about 5sec or so as the colors go back to normal and has only done in 3-4 times over the last 2-3 weeks

There are three themes that will work with certainty with this ROM.. other themes have exhibited FCs.. See link
Thanks for that info JaeKar, I really appreciate all the help that everyone seems so willing to offer in this forum. The ComRom with dark Alien looks and runs great! Thanks to all the dev's at XDA and all the others who make this a place I spend TOO much time:D

Just installed and am rebooting now. I'm hearing the "Android female" so I guess all went well. Can't wait to try this out!

Thanks everyone

couple of questions.

1.) how can i get the stock android keyboard back? i don't care for the gingerbread one.

2.) how can i stop the desktop/home screen from rotating? i like that apps and mms rotate, but not the home screen.

thanks in advance :-)

Since there seems to be a lot of questions regarding voltage settings I figured I'd post my current configuration:

Noop Scheduler

1200 - 0
1000 - 0
800 - 25
600 - 50
400 - 50
200 - 75

I have had absolutely zero problems and performance is amazing with this config. I've never seen my phone run this well before.

1) There is add on flashable zip file for it floating around somewhere... I will see if I can find it

2) You cant... unless you have launcher pro, then you can go into settings and disable auto rotate

#2 - I use LP ....go into Preferences > Behavior Settings and uncheck Auto-rotation

I'm sure its similar steps in other Launchers.

Thanks for this... I will give it a try...

Question though.... I thought I remember reading somewhere it is reccomending to using exactly 7 states.... so just using 6 is OK?
