Adrynalyne updated the OP again.. added two things down in the addons section. One for stock browser if you're having problems with the browser included in 1.3 and the swype theme fix for 1.3

Is it me or is the speed on 1.3 SUPER fast? I am not one to hype "this is the fastest rom I have ever been on" but it does seem a LOT faster than even 1.2.

I wouldn't doubt it.. the framework tweaks they made may have made it smoother and faster. Along with the updated kernel included in 1.3.

You may have issues with phone calls and SMS messaging, or you may not at all. If things are going fine the way the are for you now, by all means, stick with it. If you notice problems then I would definitely consider updating the radio/modem. As far as I know Odin is the only way to apply the radio, but there's the chance I could be mistaken, their may be a way to do it in cwm, if someone else knows I hope they chime in.

It's debated between EC01 and ED01... some believe they are pretty much identical since EC01 is believed to be the leaked and almost identical version of ED01.. You'd probably be fine flashing EC01. In order to get ED01 you would have to convert back to stock and update via OTA or update.zip method to ED01 which is the official release from VZW/Samsung for the fascinate.

Yeah, I mean it doesn't HAVE to be, but in my experience I like to keep them the same. I've never had problems that way. I was one of the people that reverted to stock updated to ED01 via OTA update and then flashed the rom that way I had the official ED01 radio. But like I said many people believe EC01 and ED01 to be practically identical. It's a lot easier to just flash the EC01 radio than to go through the motions of reverting to stock and updating.

i'm going to be looking for a "non-take-case-off" (odin: start dinosaur PC, crawl into wire jungle to plug USB into back port, etc. gotta be a cwm way?) way to do EC10...

edit: hmm, tries OTA *228, it started "programming" b4 the AA could even ask, said yes anyway, did it's thing & rebooted. no joy for radio of course. nothing else changed in About Phone either. Dang! wonder what they did do, i did program, not location but maybe it was just that? ugh.

edit 2: ooh, more creepyness: boot into recovery and it says "Google" for a while before cwm red comes up... hmmm vodoo is actually disabled, will enable on next boot... btw time/date MIA from notify bar since OTA update...

If you have root explorer (or similiar) go to System>Media>Audio>UI then delete the poweroff.ogg file to remove shutdown sound


That will remove the sound if you want.

ED01 has not impressed me much. I remember when I got the fascinate, I was amazed at the signal strength. I live is a zone where 3g is hit and miss. My D1 dropped calls like crazy. EC01 and ED01 have not been that great for me. GPS seems fine but 3g and 1g not so much. Anyone using EB01 or DL09?

I'm in a very similar area. Honestly, my reception has been the same on any modem I've been on. But apparantly it's not the case for everyone.

If you go into Setting / TSM Parts / Status Bar Settings there are a ton of options there.

But... When I try them nothing seems to work right... This is the only issue I have so far with this build. I hope they fix it. Gunner.... Can you bend their ears on this one??

Go menu=>settings=>TSM parts=>statusbar settings and make sure there is no checkmark on hide clock then go down to text color, touch the outer circle near the white area then touch the circle in the middle, back out and try flipping the phone sideways so the screen goes from portrait to landscape. If that doesn't make the clock appear, just do a reboot and the new settings will take effect.

EDIT - also if you want the AM/PM to show make sure there is not a checkmark in Hide AM/PM

yes pls. same here with tsm, not working, reboot after un-checking hide boxes didn't help.

also notice after reboot according to notice bar it's not jumping on my wi-fi, stuck on 3g, looked in settings wifi off, checked & now on. weird.
