me neither, only getting the to box and the compose box, dont see the 3 other boxes mentioned, i remember seeing them on previous Roms i had flashed. Should i reflash over and see what happens?

You can if you want to. If it doesn't bother you not having those boxes I would say stay where you are at.

I grabbed the rom from a different link and reflashed.

Still no boxes for text.

I don't need them just wanted to hep troubleshoot.

just use handcent, I dont have the boxes either no worries....

Have you previously flashed the cwm-recovery-all-3-30-fix file? If so, no need to flash it again. Flash EC01 radio in ODIN, if you're not already running that latest cwm-all file, close ODIN, pull usb, reopen ODIN, connect usb, flash cwm-all, close ODIN, pull usb cord, put battery back in phone, do three button press to boot directly to cwm, wipe cache and dalvik, flash community rom, reboot

Yes I already have CMW all. I'mm getting ready to throw my laptop out the window.... I've been trying to DL EC01 modem for over an hour. It will not dl to a folder. Winrar keeps opening the file, so the modem is not in my "samsung" folder on my desktop. I thought it had to do with the fact that my trial version was up with winrar, so I purchased it.....still no luck. I can't flash thru odin if the file is not there.... its almost midnight here....got to get to bed soon, but im dying to try this out! I feel like a kid in a candy store!

Just cache and dalvik as long as you don't run into problems. If you get problems, full wipe, then reflash.

EDIT - maybe this is where some people are running into problems, Adrynalyne said in the first post a data wipe/factory reset is recommended for this ROM. Anyone who has already flashed with no problems, I would say just ride it out. Anyone flashing from this point forward may want to take Adrynalyne's suggestion into consideration.

Just realize that the gps fix included in the rom requires a data wipe.

Hello All,

So I went the long road and got my phone all set up with ED01 before flashing the community ROM.

So far I have to say that I love it. However I have a few questions.

1) I now have a little bit of static in my calls and my GPS has craped it's pants, seems like I am only getting the cell tower location. (Can I got back to EB01 for the radio? Or should I try EC01??)

2) When I an typing the word suggestion text in swype is unreadable because of the theme colors. Is there anyway to change that?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

You can flash the EC01 radio on top of the rom. (EC01 helped my GPS vs EB01.)

I am still restoring all my apps so I haven't seen the swype suggestions yet so I can't help with that yet.

Tried reflashing, boxes still a no show. No buggies just like it when sending mass texts. As a work around for large texts if you just go into contacts normally hit menu and send message it allows for multiple selection of contacts

no matter what i do to this or any rom I get SOD (except the full verizon version of froyo b.c i havent tried it yet and dnt plan 2)... i have minor screen burn in that the verizon reps said they would replace the phone if i wanted however i chose to decline at the moment.... are a lot of you experiencing SOD and wat do u think the odds of me wasting my time and experiencing SOD on a custom rom if i go n get a brand new fascy

I know it was a few pages ago but I got some screen caps of the mms buttons. I think the problem some people may be having is that the 3 buttons (recent, contacts, groups) go away when you place the cursor in the message field.

Not a complaint, just a strange observation but if you hit the volume buttons while on a phone call the the light on the soft keys flash with each volume push.

Killa!!!! Comes through. I just tried it and sure enough when I clicked in the message field, the boxes went away. When I clicked in the to: field, they came back.

If it really bothers you that much you can just copy the mms.apk from another rom (i used the one from sc 2.9.2 for the stock look and added features) instead. As far as the setup wizard and backup assistant, they're covered in the OP. The files weren't included with the rom but there is a zip available to flash if you need them.
