[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

When you flash this rom will it already be set to run in voodoo or do you need to enable the lagfix befor rebooting?

Someone said they think it does it auto in this Kernel, but I would enable just to make sure.

but when you boot, you will hear the android lady tell you what is going on.

You can make a nandroid backup.

And what are you running currently?

Sorry, just got back on this morning. Currently running rooted ED01, but that's going to change very soon as I just finished downloading the Community ROM! Making Nandroid thru CWM now, going to put the ROM on my SD and have some fun!

I did have an issue where the market was not showing my apps, but I cleared the data and now they show up. Just in case anyone else has this issue.

I had this issue with SC2.9.2 about once a day. Not sure why and not sure if it will go away with this build. Time will tell.

I had to enable lagfix after flashing. Then reboot.

This ROM is excellent... just excellent. After going back and grabbing ED01 my GPS finally works again, EC01 just didn't work for me so I guess there is a difference.

Overall speed is snappy and I love the Gingerbread-ish theme. The only issue I have had was when I went to drop the tapatalk widget on the desktop it didn't show up... it's ok because I use LP+ but I figured I would throw it out there.

Thanks again!

+1 on what The Indian said about this being Excellent!

I would love to have different colors though. I am not crazy about the black and wite. It seems washed out a bit.

Wierd question: I was having SOD so I had to unvoodoo, then go back to Eclair and journey my way up to ED01 then flashed the COM ROM. I forgot to enable lagfix before firing it up. Everything works smoothly and I can access the voltage controls etc.. but I didn't hear the robot ladies voice when turning on after the Com Rom flash like some people are saying they have. (I DID hear her when disabling my lagfix to go backwards though.)

Can I confirm somehow that my voodoo is OK or should I not worry about it?

Tapatalk widget shows up ok with GoLauncher EX on the Com Rom.

Boot into recovery and go to the voodoo submenu and check to see if lagfix is enabled or disabled.. if disabled - enable it and you should be back on voodoo..

Reboot into Recovery and go to the Voodoo option. There you will see options to enable lagfix. Once you reboot from Recovery you should hear the voodoo lady.

Just thought i would post my steps. I admin the cell phones at my company so I had to revert to stock and get the OTA update to test before recommending it to the VP and Pres.
I used the stock DI01 Odin package available on this forum, boot, test, power off. Odin stock DL09, boot, test, power off. Then went into blue recovery and applied the EA28 update zip posted by Adrynalyne, boot, test then got the OTA with no issues (full battery), tested and recommended.
Odin CWM, boot to red recovery, wipe data, cache, dalvik, apply community ROM, reboot, Voodoo conversion, one reboot. titanium backup for a few apps and I have absolutely no issues with performance or force closes. Just one question, the screen capture doesn't work or isn't available and/or I don't know where to enable it. Any suggestions?

This works great, coming from nonvoodoo it is noticeably faster on certain apps. GPS is amazing now, connecting inside the house. Had the same confusion with TSM, need to attach app to work properly. Must read all instructions and follow the steps.

Thanks to the team, this is great.

Everything is running well on the new ROM, so thank you Dev's!! I did, however, have a question about the voltage control. This is my first voodoo kernel, so I don't really know anything about it. Is there any kind of tutorial about changing voltages on AC? I guess I have a crude understanding of what it does; just not a clue as to where to start. Maybe someone could post a link if there is such a threat, or else maybe give me a brief description how it works, how the schedulers work, etc. Thanks for anyone's help. And thanks again to all the dev's who made this ROM possible.

I went from the SC 2.9.2nv with eb01 up to this rom this morning. Upgraded radio through odin thanks to the links provided then just wiped cache and dalvik and tried it. Heard the robo chick so I decided I was on the right track. I did get the FC and reboot on the first boot up but has been seemless ever since. Had never gone voodoo before for no reason other than when I find something I like I leave it but I can see the difference. Interested in learning more about the voltage control and will follow the supplied link for that. I will leave it stock voltage for at least 3 days to see just how the battery is before tinkering with it. Thanks to all the people who have had a hand in making this beast.

When i went to take my phone off the charger it wouldn't wake up without a battery pull. I don't know if that is SOD but i don't want it to happen again.
I'm running the community rom, over stock 2.2 and didn't touch anything in voltage control.

Hi,
I save all my zip, tar, and apk files in a folder on the PC and usually keep 2 ROMS and 2 Kernels on the SD. There is a great APP called webkey that allows wireless transfer of files (useful for me as my phone is in a case), the other option is moving files via BT (my phone and laptop both use USB/BT 3.0) then just use a root file manager (super manager) to move the file(s) within your phone.
Have a great day!

Another great app for wireless transfer is Swiftp
