[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

I don't know why someone would have mentioned that. The comm rom includes quite a bit of nitsuj17's gingerbread theme which includes an accurate battery mod. My battery icon in the notification bar shows the percentage. There was no such accurate battery mod with the ED01 debloated/deodexed/debinged ROM.

my apologies, i may have got my threads mixed up. it may have been in the ED01 debloated/deodexed/debinged ROM thread.

I don't believe DXC did anything with a launcher in his ODIN packages. He just packaged up the ROM / Kernel in a way to make it easier for new folks to get to a custom setup. SC292 used a Touchwiz launcher and from what I can tell it is pretty much the same in this version.

Are you talking about a launcher you may have gotten with an applied theme?

As for for the auto-rotate SC 2.9.2 had the same feature as well. I am not sure what you smoked for breakfast but I would like some please :-X

Nope. I've never applied a theme. I Odin'd sc292 straight from stock and never, ever had my Home rotate. Ever.

SC 2.9.2 had the auto rotate toggle in the notification bar on the right as it does in KangBang. It also had the option in the settings to turn auto rotate on or off.

Again may I please have what you are smoking? lol ;)

I think the lines are part of the gunnermike theme for that swype. (wasn't meant fix the mic button.)

Oh, I can barely see what I am trying to type. I am good with swype, but I am not that good.

re-flash the ROM would be the quickest / easiest
Sorry, problem with SOD and did not want to risk reflashing.

BUT! I did just replace the APK on the System>app folder and it is back to the old way.

My swype patch worked fine, but the keyboard has lines all over it, what is that?

How can I put the other one back?

Also there is a setting to change this for Swype. I am not using the themed version but I suspect the setting is there even with the themed version. Go to:

Menu > Settings > Language and Keyboard > Swype Settings

If the option here "Show Complete Trace" has a check in it remove the check and see if that fixes it.

just started the comm rom flash process.... oooh just heard that android lady :)

Yes. it did have the auto rotate toggle; what I am saying is that when I am on my home screen (I've got my weather widget, apps, picture frame, etc.), with the COMROM, when I turn my phone sideways, the widgets/apps remain right side up (auto rotate). With SC292 I never had that happen, even with auto rotate enabled, because my messaging and web browsing always rotated.

Is auto-rotate just one blanket function, or were there different functions therewithin?

were you running Launcher Pro? If so... there is a setting to disable auto rotate for the home screens, but it would still allow you to rotate on messaging and web

That I am not sure of as I never played with it much. I do know what you are saying now. When I was flashing every other day or so I do recall that with SC 2.9.2 it would auto rotate my PowerAmp but not my main home screen. Other times I had it where the home screen would rotate.

I "thought" that I had auto rotate disabled but an option for Power Amp to rotate. I never really looked into it as I did not care either way. So I know what you are saying and it behaved the same in SC 2.9.2 but I am not sure how to get it to work that way exactly again.

You can keep what you are smoking as it is not as good as I was originally thinking.

I played with different Launchers and used Launcher Pro a lot as well so this could be it ;)

Two Part question,
1. Does anyone else notice a slight echo (tinny sound) when talking on the phone?
2. I came from Official Froyo ED01, does that mean I have the EC01 radio? and if so am I able to flash any theme made for EC01 & EB01? I have read through the thread and I believe this is the case but just want some reassurance.

Nope. Never used launcher pro. Always used the stock launcher that came with SC292.

I've got The community ROM 1.1 voodoo! Looks great so far...this was my first time using CWM. The instructions were perfect.
