Two Part question,
1. Does anyone else notice a slight echo (tinny sound) when talking on the phone?
2. I came from Official Froyo ED01, does that mean I have the EC01 radio? and if so am I able to flash any theme made for EC01 & EB01? I have read through the thread and I believe this is the case but just want some reassurance.

2. If you got the stock Froyo OTA update your radio is ED01. You can check this under:

Menu > Settings > About Phone

Baseband version S:i500.04.V.ED01

The above is what you will see if you are using ED01 Radio.

Now the radio has NOTHING to do with your theme. The ROM is what you need to worry about. From what I have read it appears that the EB01 themes are running fine with ED01 based ROMs.

As always make a backup and not a bad idea to get a nandroid backup. After this flash a theme and see how it works. You should be OK and if not it is easy to restore a nandroid

I loaded the old TW launcher patch from Adrynalyne [2.2.1 Launcher, modded for SF (Launcher2.zip)] and everything is back to normal! No home page rotate, yet my browser/sms DO!

Hi can someone tell how to flashed this new rom over sc2.9.2 nv ? i've driving for the past 10 hours and i don't know where to start there's a lot going on on this thread. i have everything download so i'm ready to go as soon as i get help. one more thing is the community rom only 6mb and the 1.1 patch 28mb ? i just want to make sure my download get cut off.

I guess I'm just a little confused because all the themes on JaeKar's thread begin with ED01, EC01 and EB01

So far this has been all kinds of buggy for me. I like it, but I've had several lockups and restarts. Never had an issue on SC 2.9.2.

Only thing I can figure is that I restored the system settings and apps when I finished loading it. I didn't select all the settings, just the ones that seemed sensible to bring over, but I'm wondering if maybe that's the issue. Any thoughts?

Next issue, Android keyboard? I've grown partial to it. Don't like the way gingerbread feels or samsung looks.

I checked, but didn't see a zip floating around anywhere.

Is it wrong that I did not update and just pull what I wanted out of the 1.1 and put it on my phone? I think I am learning more and more now.

It would appear .... none of my widgets work with the stock launcher. -_- Oh well, I guess I'll have to get used to this fancy-schmancy stuff.

You can pull the APK from the 1.1 patch for the Samsung Keypad and just install it.

Not the samsung, the android. If I'm confusing the names, I mean the OTHER one. Not Samsung (which came with 1.1 patch), not Swype and not Gingerbread.

Couple of questions. Can I just flash this add-on on top of the rom, or do I need to disable the lagfix first? And can I flash a theme with this? If so can anyone suggest one? This is my first shot at voodoo and I'm loving it! Thanks guys!

You can just flash on top.

Not the samsung, the android. If I'm confusing the names, I mean the OTHER one. Not Samsung (which came with 1.1 patch), not Swype and not Gingerbread.

Sorry, not sure where to find that one. Check some Themes and ROMs and see if anyone put it in. There are a couple in the Market too.

AHA! Do I get to call you names too? I switched to Comavolt while I was testing figuring the team would maybe want info on how the ROM reacted with a different kernel. No problems whatsoever. I am going to try my hand with nemesis' kernel and the voltage settings though to see if I can tell a difference. But that won't be for a couple of days as I have to use my phone to put the ODIN packages together. So no trying out a sweet, stable set up for a while.

No apologies necessary. I was just going to start troubleshooting if you were not seeing a percentage on your battery in the notification bar, that's all.

+1 on comavolt, shark. Thanks for suggesting. I'm digging the set up with it too! Mostly because I know NOTHING about adjusting voltages. I'll be looking for your feedback when you get some voltage adjustments posted. Just so I can maybe get a rough estimate of where to start!

Yes the themes that say EB01 were built and tested on EB01. People however have applied those themes to ED01 without issue. This is the reason I say to backup just in case as with anything.

The ones that say ED01 were the same EB01 themes that were tested for ED01. Where as there were no issues they list it under ED01. If there were issues reported due to the different ROMs then the themer may have made some fixes / adjustments, tested and certified it for ED01.


Check out the original theme thread listed on JaeKar's page via the link. Go to the last post and move backward. I bet you will see if anyone states they tried it with ED01 and if they were successful or not.
