Kernal: 2.6.32.9

Baseband: S:i1500.04.EC01or ED01 (depends which radio you had when flashed it).

I just flashed this rom with 1.2 patch (1.3 kept giving force close on acore) the other day on my gf's fascinate and noticed there is no longer a camcorder icon. The only way I can find to get to the camcorder is to open the camera then switch to camcorder. Am I missing something here?

Here is one way to get the shortcut back....
Long press the screen and select Shortcuts, then select activites, select camera and then press camcorder. That should work and put the shortcut/icon back.

When I longpress there isn't anything called Activities listed. Closest thing is Applications. I looked through the whole shortcut screen and couldn't find anything to do with a video camera or camcorder.

I just noticed that on the Swype keyboard that comes in the CommRom has a couple of mis-labeled keys. When you switch over to the SYM keyboard, the button to the left of the space bar shows a hypen, but when you tap it you get a comma. Also, the button to the right of the space bar shows what I believe is an apostrophe, but when you tap it you get a period.

I just noticed that on the Swype keyboard that comes in the CommRom has a couple of mis-labeled keys. When you switch over to the SYM keyboard, the button to the left of the space bar shows a hypen, but when you tap it you get a comma. Also, the button to the right of the space bar shows what I believe is an apostrophe, but when you tap it you get a period.

they are not mis labeled they just are not switching to a hyphen and apostrophy as they should. If you long press them then you get those symbols

When you first long press the screen you should have "shortcuts" right about the "widget" link. If you do then press that. On the next screen you should see "activities", click that. pretty sure you have to have launcher pro, adw or some other custom launcher to get "activities"

jj are you running the stock launcher, and do you have LP installed?

disable background data/ auto sync in setting Accounts & Sync

So will this affect anything on the phone? I would assume you would be able to manually update correct?

Background data and auto sync are always off on my phone. They don't do much but drain your battery, and update your twitter feeds and facebook posts, both of which can be done manually. If you use the "buddies now" widget or something like that you may notice a change, other than that you won't really notice anything, except better battery life.

About the only time I turn on BD is when I go into the market..

You can still use the stock launcher, you just have to have lp installed to get the activities option jj described. After installing LP, when you hit the home key, it will prompt you to select a launcher, just select the AOSP launcher and check the box that sets it as default.

Then follow jj's instructions.. boom video camera icon on the home page.

Do I have to undoo Voodo

I am on ComRom 1.3 but I still have Bing Search. I am going to go back to stock and do a data wipe. Question is do I have to undo Voodoo Lag fix before flashing back to stock?

@rick... You don't have to do anything with voodoo if you are ODINing back to stock, as that wipes every bit of everything off your phone. And, have you tried just uninstalling Bing? Since you know how to go back to stock, if doing that jacks up your phone, you can fix it, guaranteed.

Is the wipe batt stats working with ComRom?

I charged my phone overnight. Took it off the charger ~8:30am. By 10m with almost zero use I was down to 80%. From 10am to 6pm I only went down to around 40%.

So in 1st 1.5h it went down 20%
Next 8h it went down only 40% more.

So I'm wondering if wiping batstats will help with this. I did a factory reset 1.3 install yesterday

Snare, how have things been working with the install, aside from your battery? Data? Messaging? did you get all your apps, contacts etc restored?

And to answer your question, you can wipe bstats in terminal emulator and it should work.

I would recommend you do that. I always do it the next morning after I flash a new rom..
