[ROM][5.07.2011][ED01]Community Rom V1.3

Snare, how have things been working with the install, aside from your battery? Data? Messaging? did you get all your apps, contacts etc restored?

And to answer your question, you can wipe bstats in terminal emulator and it should work.

I would recommend you do that. I always do it the next morning after I flash a new rom..

how exactly does wiping stats help battery life?

Every so often it seems to want to start into Safe Mode. Not sure what's up with that but I can seem to reboot and fix it. Otherwise it seems to be pretty smooth sailing if I can get the battery thing ironed out. I really appreciate all your help. I think I have almost everything restored.

i think so because if i reset my clock doesnt make the day any longer

It does if its the day of Daylight Savings time change. :p

I'd at least like to have an accurate setting because my OCD brain gets all out of sorts when the battery goes down 20% in 1h. Hopefully it didn't actually drop that much. And I thought it odd since it dropped only 40% more in the next 8h.

What's safe mode? Lol..I guess its good I don't know..you mean like windows safe mode?..

In addition give your battery a couple days after you clear bstats..it will get worst before it gets better. At least it seems for me. You shouldn't really have any craziness like your having though..thats wonky..

I assume its similar. It defaults back to the stock launcher and I'm not sure what else past that because pretty much as soon as I see it I reboot to try and banish it from my phone. :)

Ok, I'll try and avert my eyes from the battery % for the next few days. :p

I must not be understanding properly, which for me is not hard, but ...the stock launcher as in the AOSP launcher..or touch wiz launcher?..you shouldn't have any launcher on your phone except the AOSP launcher. Unless you have already installed a third party launcher. i.e. launcher pro or adw. If you wiped data properly, then it should only be the AOSP launcher.

Am I missing something..what else goes on in this safe mode? Can you put up a screen shot of this?

No, I think you're ok. :) I am using Launcher Pro+. So it gets rid of that and reverts back to the stock launcher. On the bottom left corner of the screen are the words "Safe Mode". If I'm lucky I hope to never see it again to be able to post a screen shot.

This as close of a pic as I could dig up using Google. Its a crop of the bottom corner of the screen I think.

And was that there after your first boot after following the process I wrote?

I don't think so. I think it was smooth sailing with your well detailed process. Nice and easy to follow btw. Thanks. I think it was few reboots later that it popped up. Its only happened sporadically so I'm not too worried about it.

Cool, and anytime. I just regurgitate what I've seen the great geniuses, advisors and guru's like Droid X Con, Landshark, gunnermike, sheepdog elite, and jaekar tell peopes. Credit goes to them. I just like to problem solve and help people..... It sounds like you had a clean install though. It's probably a bug with launcher pro +. I would clear the lp+ data and cache in settings ---applications and see if that helps.

Check out an app called COLORS from the market. That's the way to get the super black wallpaper that come stock with kb. It will help you with battery life here down the road.. I like it.

Dont worry about it just reboot and it will go away. Happened to me once, I didnt mess around with it just rebooted and have never thought about it since.:)

Ok, so here is a random issue I sometimes have. The phone will give three vibrates, like a force close, but no force close message appears. Then it will vibrate four times and reboot. Next the reboot restart hangs at the sd scan, and then reboots again. After that it is usually fine. I will then go into cwm and clear partition, davalik, and fix partitions after this happens and it will work fine for a few days. Any ideas? I am running go launcher, beautiful widgets, business calendar widget, and google tasks widget on the phone.

Thanks.

disable background data/ auto sync in setting Accounts & Sync

Tried it, no go. I got a replacement phone yesterday and had to do everything fresh. When I disable background data/auto sync and the go to the market to download titanium it tells me I have to enable background data to use the market so as soon as I do all the stupid apps that I've uninstalled and don't want anymore download and install.

Try going to Settings - Privacy - and unchecking Back up my data and/or Automatic Restore. Then reboot and the phone shouldn't try to start backing up on its own.
