[ROM][AA][EXT4] AnonymousROM i3 [2.3]

Yeah, there's also a GPS fix in the first post. However, it is awful. My GPS is on constantly with the CWM zip file fix, and not completely accurate.

found this gps fix on xda

You can not hold me accountable if this gets stuck on the splash screen or results in a fancy paper weight! "

Just unzip and put folder in /system using root explorer.

What do I have to do to get rid of the awful Moto Droid boot animation?

I tried flashing another animation, and I even tried editing the .zip file with the one I want, and it still didn't work... WTF?

Other than that, I like the ROM. Not sure why GPS dies with every rom, but mine came back, just not as accurate as on EC05 stock.

I am using the Gingerblue theme and this is starting to make the phone what I want it to be.

Can't wait to see what is done with the official release when we get it (2.3.4!)

GPS fix seems like it needs to be reinstalled all the time... Had some weird problems with calls, could hear ringing but no sound either direction after the other party answered... happened on close to 20 calls in a row and then just started working again.

anyone else get fc with spare parts? and how can i get rid of the bonsai recovery? i guess it installed automatically with the rom?

I have to say this ROM is nearly unbelievable. So fast, so smooth, and the battery life is crazy. I've had absolutely zero problems with this ROM. Except that apparently now the iheartradio app is no longer visible in the market. But that's obviously not the ROM's fault.

Nothing special, really. Just ODIN'd to stock EF02, flashed the ROM, installed the SU.zip file, ran the Chainfire 3D app to install the drivers. Even with my Facebook, Twitter, and Google Reader running it's good. Unless it's a battery measurement fail, I ran Plants vs. Zombies for about 45 minutes, and my battery life only dropped 2%.

I was using Truly Epic Rebirth 1.5 and using it happily. I saw this ROM using EF02 and thought it would be pretty good. Esp. since I'd seen lots of good reviews and posts regarding it. I actually don't mind it and would likely keep it running - but it seems that with some issues with the author it is no longer available. Heck, he even left for PPCGeeks.com and it seems that even those posts have been removed.
So what do I do? The GPS fix sucks - otherwise the ROM seems to work for me. But in being a driver, I use my GPS for several hours a day. Do I stick with this ROM and hope that soon enough a new one is updated or wait for a new EF02 ROM? Is there one that is working very well - esp. with GPS?
Or do I need to go back to TER/ACE2.0? Can I do that easily now that I'm on EF02?
Thanks for any help.

Syndicate Frozen Rom 1.2 is the best rom that I have ever used. However, it is not Gingerbread.

Allow me to second that. There is no need to stay on 2.3 until it's completely ready. Syndicate Frozen Rom is so good, I'm not even too excited about gingerbread. Just used the "How to fix a bricked phone" tutorial to odin to EC05 (don't forget to root, ext convert) then simply flash ACS. I was on rebirth months ago and it is great but Syndicate Frozen Rom is the best out there.

I'm Sorry but i have to blame you for something and that is making a kick ass rom... good work....

By downloading you agree to have read the whole OP and to not blame me for ANYTHING

The battery life I have to say is petty awesome, hasnt dropped below 50% since flashing and Im always doing something. Nice work to everyone involved.

I installed this yesterday. The Good: decent battery inline with stock EC05, fast response in transitions, Bluetooth works, very stable, the experience with the phone is very good. The Bad: No GPS (I know I might be able to find a fix, but it does not work out of the box), Lost email account settings, does not work with SPB Shell 3D. The GPS I can probably fix, but the emails address would disappear, and I would have to re add them. Once last night, and twice today.

Overall I am impressed with the polish of this ROM, It is smooth, and stable with great performance, and good battery (its the only 2.3 that has not absolutely eaten my battery in half a day). I can only imagine what you will do with the official 2.3 when its released. Good Job.

Not sure what is wrong with mine. I get a serious battery drain with the i3. It's the quickest and smoothest rom I've tried. I ODIN'd to EC05, rooted with cwm 3.1 (purple), wiped 3x and installed. I lose about 10% in 30min. When I look at the battery stats, it shows that it's been "awake" the whole time, even during periods of the screen being off. Not just waking up for background services, but a solid blue line on the chart for the awake, it just shows "android system" as using most of the resources. First attempt I thought I was getting a drain due to restoring the data partition (hate re-installing all my apps), second time, going with a fully clean install, rendered the same results. Let it drain, charge fully, and still drained. It didn't get hot like it was running at full speed

I just installed this ROM and it sings. Performance is great and GPS works too. I got over 2700 on the quadrant benchmark!!!!! This is my first custom ROM install and so far everything is great.:D

has anybody figured out a rotation lag fix? There is a fix in XDA forums but not sure if it works on this rom.. any help

I can't seem to clear the Voicemail Pending notification. I've called and deleted all my voicemail and rebooted numerous times. Suggestions?
