Hey bro,glad to see you around. It a kernel I compiled from HTC source,nothing to special just added OC/UV.

If I remember right (should be in how to) but flash theme reboot flash icons and it should work that way.

Themes overwrite icons always so even if you move away from smooth or AC-ROM theme the process should be flash theme, reboot, flash icons.

Wireless tether questions should probably go in that thread and not this one but to answer your question....

The reason It's not working is because you downloaded it from the market. You need to download it from the Google code page for that project because pre 8 is the version that works with froyo on the EVO but not the version found in the market.

Edit - I just noticed pre 9 is out. I have not personally used pre 9 so I can't tell you if/how it works but either way pre 8 and pre 9 can be found right on the Google code page for wireless tether.

I don't have the latest two versions. Can i just update via the update option on the phone or do I have to do something else? I don't wanna mess up my root or my AC ROM. Phone is doing wonderful would hate to mess it up.

Well here's the thing, you can update your PRL anytime you want no problem. Menu > Settings > system update > Update PRL that should do the trick. This doesnt wipe any data or anything.

Now if you want to update you're PRI that's a whole different story. you could be flashing and wiping for days lol. The trick to it is though to NAND backup before you do anything. That way once you get your PRI situated you can NAND restore and be all set.

Oops sorry I didn't see the post title. If you try to update the PRI make sure you have lot's of tylenol/aspirin. It's a PITA. I gave up after three days and haven't regained the patience to try again.

Make sure you do a NAND backup before you mess with the PRI. PRL is usually problem free.
