Would everyone want stock apps(bloatware) removed?

I have to admit that I've been cheating on the AC ROM. Other ROM's were updated to the new OTA and I don't have any patience. :p I'm glad that I can get the goodness back with AC ROM now that it's been updated. One question, though, I flashed Fresh which isn't bad, and in the Fresh Updater they have a zip to remove the HTC lockscreen. I did it and it gave me the stock lock screen, which I love. Do you think that this zip will work with the AC ROM, or is there another way to get the stock lock screen?

This is pretty easy to do with any rooted ROM, you just have to remove /system/app/HtcLockScreen.apk - you can do this from like Root explorer or Titanium Backup.

It might couldn't say 100% without see the zip.If you know adb commands or i think root explorer.Delete system/app HtcLockScreen.apk

Edit-haha like said above.Might want to delete worldclock.apk or don't set the stock alarm clock you will have to pull battery to stop the alarm from going off.

This is pretty great I have to say. I'm an aosp fan but this is a pleasure to use and I don't mind sense too much at all.

Everything flies and the bloatware isn't there staring me in the face and getting on my nerves.

It's smooth like butter and there are no issues with anything that I've done yet, I've spent last while putting it through the ringer, great work guys.

Q) Will this ROM fix the FPS issue?
A) Yep

How can I apply this update without starting over and loosing all my setup. Thanks in advance

Back up all your apps with Titanium Backup or AppBrain. Then it's easy to restore them after you flash the new ROM. Also make sure to do a nandroid backup before flashing so you can go back if something goes wrong.

Man do i know thats right!!!!!!!!! Drove me crazy working on that crap. Basically all you need to do is remove the files mentioned above and use an alternative clock/alarm. Worldclock.apk can only be dismissed with the HTCLockScreen.apk

Oh ... and stop cheating on us. We weren't slacking ... we were cooking!!! :p

I could kiss you guys :p

Decided that I've tested the OTA long enough, time to flash a new recovery and back to AC-ROM.

I literally can't believe how smooth and sweet this is. I just took an hour and a half train ride home and it's boggling my mind.

I wasn't a fan of sense but I found myself re-flashing this rom clean and not installing launcher pro right away, it's like sense done right. And it's painless to remove the extra stuff and no one's forcing their idea of a killer color scheme down my throat.

If there were ROM awards, I'd give this one an award.

Couldn't agree more. HTC needs to sit down and talk with everyone involved in the making to get some pointers :)
