I just went in using the instructions in post 2 and uninstalled the nascar app. It didn't give me any problems at all. I didn't have to use a file manager app at all. What apps are you trying to get rid of?

Did you ever verify that you have NAND unlocked? What rooting method did you use in the first place?

I used the sticky method... I actually did the video play for play lol.... when I tried to unlock band last night it actually ended up screwing me turning my # into a $ so I ran recovery and am now back to where I started right after the video.... I still have superuser access and everything is working great besides the market... how should I go about unlocking nand I am pretty sure I havent done that?

I just have to post this. I just got 24 f n hours out of my battery. I used the tutorial that pingpong posted for SetCPU and WOW. I made my setting almost the same as his. Underclocked it a tad bit more. I have not notices any real difference in speed except when the display wakes up. I am amazed. I had about two hours of talk time, web surfing, played that Boxing game, loads of text messages, 20 min of fring, then I left it uplugged all last night. When I woke up this morning i still had 15% and it was at 23hour and 52 min since last plug in. I didn't plug in until i got to 7% and that was after I added bout 15 more min of talk time, 10 text messages (with video and audio in them). Final time was 24hr and 36 min. WOW. AC Rom 2.5 with SetCPU underclocked/overclocked profiles :)

Linky to the turorial?

is anyone having issues with superuser permissions constantly force closing? everytime I try to use an app that requires it like, setcpu or wireless tether, the app and superuser permissions force closes.

No problem here. I've had the dialog requesting SU several times since I rooted and installed this ROM, and haven't had a single force close.

If you took the OTA here's the link:

If you used unrevoked3 when you still had 2.1 I believe the above link will still work for you. If you used unrevoked forever idk much about that or how it works.

If you're talking about the link for setCPU here you go.

Sounds like you might not be rooted.

Ok guys I posted a message yesterday on how I'm having trouble flashing the new rom 2.5 Like my i said i currently have the ac rom 2.2 so this isn't my first time doing this. This is exactly what I'm doing. I download the ac rom mirror link from my phone. I then boot into recovery make a nandroid back up clear all data (factory wipe and cache) and then I attempt to flash the new rom from the sd card section under dowload. once I click on the rom it says it was unable to download? what I am doing wrong here???? All help is welcome thanks!!

Download the ROM on your computer and then transfer it to your SD card. Wipe factory, dalvik, and cache. Then flash.

One more thing is there a difference of downloading the link to your phone compared to the mirror link???

Open ROM manager, flash amen ra (flash alternate recovery in ROM manager), move the ROM zip directly to the root of the SD card, go into amen ra recovery and select the wipe option and wipe factory/cache/dalvik (3 wipes), go back to main page of recovery, flash zip from SD, select AC ROM

Don't download it to your phone. Use the PC to download then transfer it. Sometimes phones have issues downloading a ROM and it sometimes doesn't complete properly. I have also heard of it breaking the signature.

Cheers!

does anybody have a problem with sprint tv and voice mail being unable to update?

If you read the thread (and I know it's long) they said that when a stock sprint app is updated they will have to update the ROM and we will have to flash the new version. This is because they made the app removable if you don't want it.

TV wont work, we need to update the apk but we are probably going to wait a bit cause this game of Sprint slowly updating their apps 1 by 1 is getting old.

VVM (voicemail) is updated in 2.5, NASCAR is updated in 2.5, NFL is updated in 2.5. TV will be updated .... sometime in the future. You can always hunt down the updated apk and load it.

No matter what version of any ROM you're running you can always send a text message to 7777 that either says "nascar" or "football" and sprint will send you a link to download the most recent apk.
