I just figured if that one app is a make or break or a big deal to someone, the 30 seconds it took me to post it is 30 seconds well spent.

So I tried the SetCpu program and used his values..Did the long bench test and my numbers were coming out nowhere near what he posted (something about the 5000 number..where as mine was aroung 1500. Atm Im at the main screen, and have min/max set to 245 and confirmed and its taking 1755, not the 5k he has listed) . I tried the perflock disable thing, and it did its thing, then told me i didnt need it. I did notice that my max speed is 1.113 opposed to the 998 on a totally non rooted stock rom. I wonder if this is really working since my numbers are so far off on the initial few long bench tests lol.. Also seems like the new version of SetCpu starts your profiles for ya on reboot, least mine is running atm and I just rebooted my phone woohoo

Also I really like his battery indicator and read the process but it seems kinda lengthy lol..

Agreed. Glad you're here. It's felt like I've been holding down the fort today, lol, which would be fine except I don't know near as much as some of you guys do to be able to help people.

What were your numbers with the values set to the highest settings? Mine were something like 450 and then 3000. I considered that a big enough difference to say it worked. If you're running this ROM (which I'm assuming you are since you're on here) I think it comes with perflock already disabled. So that step would not be necessary.

yeah I just noticed it telling me Perflock is not found, and also my phone took a nice jump in Quadrant scores also lol..just a wee tad under the nexus 1, and nicely over the Droidx at 1.11ghz (1324)...at stock it was about par with the X on this rom.

Now to figure out that awesome battery icon

Profiles disabled I get:

at 245 min/max I just got 1821ms

I like the smooth icons included with this ROM. It has the percentage as part of the icon, and it doesn't take up space in the notification area.

Perflock is disabled in this ROM and the reason your numbers are lower is because this is froyo so it has JIT. When he wrote that he was on eclaire which didn't have JIT.

Froyo with a CPU set to 576 MHz will have better benchmarks than eclaire at 999 MHz ... crazy huh?

Ben on CM nightlys and tried baked snack, fresh and freaky froyo. None have quenched my thirst like cyanogen.

Gonna give AC a whirl, after all, without this site I wouldn't know what root even is haha. Here goes ...

only the sprint bloat is made removeable, kevin made a nice write up in another sticky here check it out to remove the other stuff.


Update-I like the AC rom, so far illl give it a day or two. Seems like it has awesome battery life.

They are shown in post 2. I think it's post two. I'm on my phone so I can't check for sure.

If you used unrevoked3 when you still had 2.1 I believe the above link will still work for you. If you used unrevoked forever idk much about that or how it works.

yeah thats the xsame method i used so.... i just did a wipe of factory, cache, and dav, reflashed, updated profile now im gonna reboot and see if it works yet?

after all that im still getting the "cant establish a reliable data connection to the server" once again though only for my google account. . . HELP!!!
