I came to post about the search button being borked, I see now that issue has been covered (Downloading latest gap) I like the button myself and rarely hit it by mistake. I am also having a problem that I didnt see here and that is Titanium backup no longer restores correctly for me. When I went to do the usual batch restore of missing apps it starts to load the first app on the list then the phone reboots. I tried rebooting the phone with battery pulls and I still have this issue. I ended up restoring my free apps with Android commander, doing all of them through the market is just down right painful.

In Titanium Backup downloaded the latest version of Busy Box. Just launch it and click on "Problems"

Guess I should have said that was one of the first things I did. Thank you though, still have the problem. I should also say that I deleted Titanium backup and reloaded twice and I flashed a cyanogen rom and loaded Titanium like I have done a 100 times and no problems. Then I come back to AC rom Titanium is broke??

I know dwhitman and thefredelement both used titanium backup (TB) from their previous ROMs after flashing AC because they posted it in this thread. I'm sure many others did too so I'm pretty confident the issue isn't the ROM.

Fred did you come from CM, or from a ROM built off the HTC framework? I know you restored to a CM build for those bench marks but is that what you were running prior to flashing AC? Is that what you were running when you made the TB backup you restored over AC? Just curious if the problem lies with trying to restore TB from a pure AOSP (CM) build over to a sense (HTC Framework) build?

Just tossing ideas out there for yah

EDIT - I should be more clear when i ask questions like that. Thefred, can you just tell me what ROM you came from? Thanks

That's really strange, did you reload titanium after you installed the new busy box?

Is it listed as an app with root permissions in superuser? Is usb debugging and installing apps from unknown sources checked?

I came over from CM6, I'm going to load back fresh to AC2.6 because I just made a fresh nandroid and I"ll try to re-create the problem.

Alright so I'm using clockwordmod recovery (2.5.0.1) wiped system, data, cache, sdext, and dalvik and performed a wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache just for good luck. (a little superstitious I know)

Flashed AC-ROM-v-2.6.zip

Rebooted, went through normal setup, opened the market, signed in to google, accepted terms, search titanium, installed.

Open, approved su request, (wait for market apps to update, su, facebook, flash player) clicked on fruit ninja, hit restore, app only, went fine, started a batch restore and it's all going fine.... last time I did this I had to update busy box b/c it crashed right away.

Are you running the latest version of titanium and superuser? Those are the only two apps that were just installed from market auto-update that should affect this. (and flash player, facebook but that shouldn't matter).

I actually thought this was def. going to crash out on the first run like last time, hope this helps...

I flashed AC rom all over again double and triple checked everything was correct and it stilled happened. So this time I decided to repeat the crash several times and watch and see if I could tell when it crashed and if maybe by chance it was at the same place. Sure enough every time swiFTP FTP server tried to load the phone would crash. So I unchecked swiFTP on the next go around and that was the problem. No crashes this time so when Titanium was done I went into the market to load swiFTP ftp server. Just for sheets and giggles I deleted everything on the phone. Tried to replicate and sure enough it crashed at swiFTP. Unchecked the box and all was well! Thank you for all of the effort, AC and the members are awesome :)

The only confusing part for me is why restoring swiFTP causes AC ROM to crash and not Cyanogen? Anyway it is fixed :)

Silly question, did you try with and without data?

On cyanogen only app+data
On ACRom I tried both. And it is not a silly question, it's a very good one :) I am notorious for overlooking the details from time to time.

Edit: Hmm text didn't transfer on this post from my phone, must have been me. Anyway I did app+data on cyanogen. Tried both apps with and without data on AC rom.

Titanium Backup

NAND is not something that you can pick and choose from. It's like a ghost image of your hard drive. You either have to restore all of it or none of it.

For backing up and restoring apps try titanium backup or mybackup pro.

This is my first time using Titanium Backup. How do you decide which items you select to backup? I'm mostly curious about which system data you should either include or exclude.

It's been my experience that it's best to not back up any system data while switching roms.

When you open titanium and go to batch you can select "backup all user apps", then you go to a screen with a list of all the user apps and a checkbox so you can check or uncheck whatever you'd like.

I also suggest purchasing the paid version, if you have a lot of apps and use a batch restore you have to manually approve each installation but in the paid version you just hit restore and it runs through them, it's not that big of a deal but a time saver.

Thank you, I'll try that. I seemed to be having issues restoring when I included the system data. I did donate the recommended amount. I figured that I would be using it regularly and I wanted to support the developer of the program.

I'm not sure if an issue I'm having is a function of the AC-ROM or not but I only started having the issue after flashing over to this (first time I've flashed a ROM over.) Any web browser I opens stays open for about 3-5 seconds, begins to load the webpage and then crashes (no error messages, just back to the home screen.) All other data works fine as well as programs like youtube. I've tried the stock browser, dolphin and skyfire, they all do the same things. Any ideas on what to fix? Anyone else had this issue with this ROM?

No issues here (typed and sent from the web browser on my EVO running AC-ROM 2.6)

Try re-flashing the ROM over top of its'self. Wipe cache (not factory and not dalvik) first. Also did you use titanium or anything to restore information? If yes, do a full wipe, flash the ROM, test the browser.

This is my first time trying the new AC-Rom and so far so good i don't have the crazy sync issues like i did with Ava-V8 hopefully that will help my battery life and i can get more than 5 hours of non use before the v8 update i was on average getting 10 to 11 hours before i needed to even use a charger and that was with medium use.

I'm hoping for good results with this one since everyone that's using it seems to LOVE the battery life from what i've been reading.

question??? will the ac-theme work with Extra's pack?
i flashed the ac-theme then the extra's and now the ac-theme is gone.

With the kernel being used in this ROM overclocking is not possible yet. I think. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
