Yup. I need to do some more testing but my GPS seems to work. Haven't tried 4G yet (although I'm pretty sure it doesn't work). Not having any problems charging, waking or unlocking.

yes gps status in the market, in the tools you can reset gps. i went from 3200m lock to 20m lock. no idea on how long it will last tho.. the rom itself runs great just seems like modem and kernel havent been updated to gb...

When I downloaded the file its a zip. I extracted it and there isn't a pit file in there. How do you do it to get it to . PIT?

First ROM, first post, and first smartphone. I knew there was a reason that I had only rooted first, and not changed to EXT4.

you dont need the pit, and the zip is the rom.. not something for odin the zip needs to be flashed in clockwork mod

Ironic..

Huh, thats just plain irony. The day I finally give in, and trade my Epic for an Evo..the official Gingerbread leaks that night! :eek:I laughed off the thought of this exact thing happening right before trading.
Well, nothing I can do now. Whether it was an Epic or an Evo, it's just a transitional phone to keep me amused for the next couple months, until the Nexus 4G/Evo 3D are out. I was heavily leaning toward Nexus S, if just for the fact that I'd have all the newest updates first, as well as no more slide-out keyboard..BUT..even though the Galaxy/Nexus hardware is proving to be better than the Evo's in some pretty noticeable ways,(the Hummingbird KILLS all other single cores out there in its GPU performance!Just look at the rendering difference of Quadrant's animations!)I might actually consider the 3D now, because I have to say that after rooting this Evo,and flashing CM7,among some Sense ROMs too,I am heavily impressed with something about the way the phone looks and performs, and I even kind of like Sense(in a bloated, love-hate kind of way).
I will really miss this specific forum and alot of people in it. Most of you don't even know me because I just mostly lurked for several months, however, Ive been a multiple-times-daily visitor, and I have commented when it felt warranted. I just got in this habit of never asking questions, forcing myself to read hundreds of pages of comments while learning the big things, and once I became self sufficient in the major hacking processes, I could never get any momentum going in trying to comment. I just want to give a GIGANTIC thanks to Ragnarokx and Paul, first and foremost-You guys, through all of your how-to guides, comments, and personal development offerings, have taught me EVERYTHING I KNOW, and I just think its really cool how you both donate so much of your time-without ever asking for a thing. Last, but surely not least, I'd like to thank the devs of what have been my favorite ROMs,without fail, all along. For my favorite ROM series-Midnight, I wanna say thank you Rob(ptfdmedic)! I admire how you have taken a cause that is important to you, and used your talent in development to create a captive audience that now finds autism awareness important too. I know you've made me more aware of the rising numbers of autism births, as well as given me insight into the daily struggle's that families affected by autism face every single day. You should be proud as hell of the parent that you are. My other favorite ROM: ACS's Syndicate Frozen ROM. What an innovative bunch these guys are, huh? CIQ-removal is a HUGE accomplishment. This ROM as well as the individual mods that were created with it, have changed and influenced the Epic ROM community so much.Ever since official Froyo was released, you cant find any major Epic forum that isn't mentioning your names. Congrats on your continuing success!(And thanks to k0nane & Shabbypenguin specifically for coming to join AC Forums and answering various questions for everyone. You guys both seem extremely talented, and you're very humble about how much you know compared to most here)
Really sorry everyone for getting so off topic. Ive just spent the last several months basically "living" in this forum and when you spend so much time somewhere,(real or virtual)it's weird to say goodbye and leave. Good luck to everyone. I hope Gingerbread turns out great for the Epic. The wait has been so tedious, so my best wishes to everyone for when it rolls out. Great job to k0nane&co.for being the ones to leak it first! Hope to see some of you around in another forum one day. I could be re-locating to the Evo 3D threads in just a couple months. So if and when any of you move there-look me up and say hi!
-bye friends:'(

Holy wall of text.

Sorry to see you go! Be sure to look for [ACS] tags in the Evo section - work by Konikub, Evokings, and zone23 (ROMs), plus 1975jamie and others (themes), and Riptide (the most popular themes on the Evo!) will blow your mind! ;) Our Evo team does great things.

@i_left my heart. Good bye. You can sometimes pay a visit to the epic forum. I have the same feeling about AC Epic Forum. These guys (Rag, Paul and the devs are like family to me as well. We have something in common we love our Epics). I will see you around.:)

Had it on for a bit, but the GPS bug was a no go for me, and I didn't wait for the workaround. I went to SRF now, and I love it. I might just wait for the Gingerbread based Syndicate ROM.

Seeing how ACS will only build ROMs off official releases it might be a ways off still, who knows though. When it does happen I'm sure an ACS ROM built on Gingerbread will be a heck of a ROM as Syndicate is to Froyo.

I have found the build to be very solid, and I would keep it on the phone if it wasnt for the Battery Temp message that constantly comes up. Once the message comes up my screen stays on, so it is always on weather it is charging or not

I tried the rom. It seems very solid, however GPS did not work on my phone even though I got GPS status from the market and did what K0nane says in his post.

Just like in the Froyo leak days - try going back to EC05, get a GPS lock, then go to ED12.

so when do rumors have us slated for an official 2.3 (one we can get ext4 on hopefully lol)?
