[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

Any thoughts on a Milestone 6?

Presumably they're going to incorporate the changes from IMM76K, so I would expect a nightly/build with those before a milestone release. You never know, though.

Another thing I'm curious about... Since M5 was the first (and so far, only) ROM I've flashed on this phone, do I have to flash newer radios separately? Or are those included in the ROM? I'm just wondering if I should flash those to be properly "up to date". I'm not completely sure what the benefit of flashing different radios are, or if I should even bother.

Radios are always backwards compatible (meaning they work with any rom/OS), and they are almost always--like 99.99% of the time--separate from the rom. Very rarely, if ever, will you flash a rom that includes radios.

Therefore, flash them separately. Zero neck has prepared a fantastic radio thread, and I highly suggest you check out the latest 4.0.4 radios. They're the ones with FC## under the baseband and they're featured in the 4.0.4 update currently rolling out.

Build 37 fixed a memory leak with the lock screen (which caused it to freeze for a half second when u unlocked the phone). I think for that reason alone it was worth it, but there are a lot of other bug fixes in the b37 release, check it out on the aokp site.

What's the difference between the first one and the second one (the one from 5/1 and the one from 5/2)? I flashed the second one, because that one was more recent.

One includes the bootloader. It's good practice to keep those versions together.

So the one from May 1st is .09 and the one from May 2nd is .10..... I flashed the DT package with the .09 version. I can just flash the newer radios without any issues? No lost root or anything? Still have the new bootloader?

boo... i have .09. linky for .10 por favor?

The .09 v .10 thing is simple a hardware version/discrepancy. It can't be changed/altered, and you'll notice that if you flash any radio package--4.0.2, 4.0.3, hybrid, old 4.0.4, or new 4.0.4 that it won't change.

I know from Googling it in the past that there was speculation that .10 is "experimental," but the only fact that really bears that out is that it's not nearly as widespread as .9.

FWIW, my 3rd GN (on my 4th now) was .10. All of the others have been .9.

Who's ordering the AOKP case? From Roman's Twitter feed:

By the way... if you haven't already, go and preorder yourself one of these bad boys Cruzerlite AOKP Case Preorder - Preorders DO IT, DO IT NOW

Sent using Tapatalk 2

Thats a nice case and I would order one in a heartbeat. I ordered a cruzerlite on Amazon awhile back and they wanted 15 bucks for shipping. I cancelled. Sad. One of the major downers of living in Hawaii.
