Trying to get this flashed on my Slider.... but one problem, have no PC access. Anyone know how to root the Optimus Slider with only terminal emulation or an app?

Super Easy Root and Recovery (No computer or terminal commands needed) for LGL55C - Android Area51
Follow the instructions in this post here ^, but for step 6 replace the recovery image with the one from this post here, http://forums.androidcentral.com/virgin-mobile-optimus-slider/133562-how-root-custom-recovery-nandroid-backup.html and you should be rooted and have a custom recovery.
Make a nandroid, then flash away.

Why if I boot the phone up without the sdcard, but put it in later, does all my apps dissapear and never return even if I reboot with sdcard in the phone?

So is it a known confirmed bug for this ROM (when at least installed on VM Slider's) to receive garbled text messages from a 999-999-9999 number in lieu the actual MMS that someone is attempting to send you? As soon as I installed this, that is what has been happening.

You screwed up a2sd. Open terminal emulator and type su then hit enter. Then type a2sd reinstall and let the phhone restart. I think that's the command to make the apps come back. Let me know if it doesn't work.

Noticed that same problem. Thought it was someone spamming messages to me, blacklisted them with Go SMS
