[ROM][AOSP][10/31][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

Re: [ROM][AOSP][9/27][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

Anyone else noticing since the 9/27 update that their phone sits at charging 98-99% never fully going to charged?

That's normal on stock... You can override it using some kernels like Franco.

Technically its not an issue...overfilling lithium ion batteries shortens their life. Almost all phones will charge to like 97℅ then stop charging and let it discharge until about 93℅ then starts charging again.

Most ROMs follow this but some times its configurable.

Just found it odd since none of the other bb builds did this on my phone.

I thought at 97% it just said 'charged'. Could be wrong... Never noticed it going beyond 97 even on previous builds

Figures as soon as I post about this the problem goes away. Today back to getting go full charge not just sitting at 99% charging constantly.

Re: [ROM][AOSP][10/10][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

I know Bugless Beast doesn't have a lot of extra features.. Does it have Toggles? It's the only feature I really care about in a rom...

It doesn't have toggles.

Re: [ROM][AOSP][9/27][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

I am still on the 8/7 build.
Only issue I ever had was a few times when on a call my phone would blink.

I have no plans to update anytime soon.

Re: [ROM][AOSP][9/27][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

I am on the august release and it comes up as 100% charged every time.

Re: [ROM][AOSP][9/27][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

Help? I've flashed a few ROMS, but not experienced. I was on the 9/7 build of BB and decided to go for the most recent one (10/10). Using TWRP, I made a Nandroid, wiped cache and Delvik and skipped wiping data since I was coming from a prior BB release.

I installed zip from SD card, but it said that it "failed". One option was to "reboot" so I selected that.

It's now sitting at the Google screen......Do I pull the battery, get into recovery the old fashioned way and restore my previous backup?

Just wasnt sure if I should try something else out first.

P.S. I wonder if I had a bad download. I didn't chksum....I guess I will from now on.

This same thing happened to me and i did perform a checksum. I was on 9/7 and wiped cache and Delvik but not data like you did. After it failed, and i restarted it got stuck at the google screen, same boat you were in.

Here is how if fixed it:

1. Restart into recovery (power + vol up + vol down)
2. Selected update rom from CWM and tried again. This time it worked flawlessly.

I hope it works as easy for you.

Wait about 10 min...after you wipe cache that first boot takes a while because its rebuilding stuff. If it still won't boot just bounce back into twrp and restore

Hmmm...what if I use TWRP as my recovery, not CWM? Is there a similar option in TWRP?

Get Widgetsoid if you want toggles on the notification shade for BB!

Re: [ROM][AOSP][10/10][JB] Bugless Beast VZW Galaxy Nexus

Just flashed 10/10 and lost my battery % in the status bar. I forget which app/widget/or otherwise it was that I loaded that enabled me to replace the bar battery with a number and where I go to set it. Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction
