Not at all.. you have to wipe on your own.
Wipe data / Factory reset
Wipe cache and dalvik cache
Format /system

Then flash!

EDIT: If you meant coming from an earlier version of the same ROM.. you can usually be alright wiping the caches only, I recommend formatting the system as well (you don't lose any apps or your data).

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, I installed his nightly ROM from scratch several days ago, coming from stock. This will simply be an update to his most current nightly. I'll give it a shot, thanks!

tried installing the newest nightly....no matter how I try, it doesn't retain anything. Even though my SD files are all there and pics, etc. It Wants to set up as a new phone.

Hotword Detection in Google Now?

I've just flashed the 7-19 BB and I was exploring the Nexus 7 User Guide to get some pointers on how to get the Google Now voice recognition to obey my every whim and I noticed something in the User Guide that doesn't show up on my flash of BB. Apparently Google Now can listen for the hotword "Google" while you have the Google Now screen open to initiate a voice search. There's an option to turn it on/off on the Nexus 7, but on my BB'd Galaxy Nexus there's no option...

Does anyone else see it? Any idea why its not there?

EDIT: I guess I'll have to practice my American accent,
I'm British and set the language to UK, but it removed the option to use hotwords. Setting it to US English gives me the option again.

They do now!

Seriously though I've not had any problems with the hotspot in 6 months using it and I see no reason why that would have changed.

Yes, I've got it, but it doesn't work... I sounded like an idiot saying "Google" to my phone over and over with nothing happening.

Also, my phone doesn't talk to me even though I've got the English US voice installed... anyone else?

So! I washed my phone last week as some of you know...well it dried out OK but the main mic didn't work at all....
all good now
found steps on ifixit to replace the main usb/mic board and did that tonight
pretty easy albeit a little nerve racking.
i'm back in the Bugless game and with the money i saved in prep to but a new gnex, i bought a nex7

EDIT: but in switching to an old dinc2 then back to the gnex...vzw lost my double data so now i gotta restore to stock so my phone will activate right before i got back to bugless

Yeah... I'm seeing that too...I tried on my tablet and got the same err so it sounds like its the app/service and not ROM specific.

Wasn't this last time. Its almost as if the GPS isn't on at all but it is. Doesn't happen often so its not a huge deal

The latest Franco kernel (r223) seems to be working pretty good with BB...there is still that weird speaker static if you have the headphones in and power the screen on sometimes....but I can live with that.

Glad its not just my phone always nice to hear. And not a big problem quick reboot does the trick
