I am trying to do my first Rom install, i have read the instructions how to, but still having issues. the white screen of death that will not go away. I am using RA and following the step by step guide. See below. I have checked to make sure i have root by using terminal and running the su to verify i have root and my S-Off. Completed the nandroid backup and doing the myn rsls5 with wimax radio update. So i did the following.

<> Select the ROM you want and download it
<> Plug your phone into the PC and select "disk drive"
<> Now drag/drop the ROM to the SD card of the phone
<> Disconnect from the PC and reboot phone in recovery

<> NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!!!!!!

<> After you nandroid back up select "Return"
<> Select "Wipe"
<> Wipe the "data/factory reset" and "dalvik-cache" and "Cache". It is recommended that you wipe each one at least twice just to be sure.
<> Once your done select "Return"
<> Now select "Flash .zip from sdcard"
<> Select the ROM you downloaded and flash it!

<> Select "Return"
<> Select "Power off"

<> After phone powers off turn it back on and enjoy your new ROM!!!!

NOTE: First time boot up of a new ROM will take a while because it is booting without a cache.

I first run the myn rom then after that completes I run the wimax radio update and then do the power off and restart.

after all this happens the screen just sits there. am i missing something as it looks like it should be simple.

Can you access HBoot? Turn phone off and power on with Power + Vol Down.

If so, you can always try to re-flash things to get them working.

Did you verify the MD5 Sum of the ROM and radio update? It's possible that one of them was corrupt.

-Moved to correct sub-forum.

How long did it sit at the boot screen? It really does take awhile to boot after you flash a new rom, especially when you flash new radios too.

After you update the radio maybe go back in to recovery, advanced, format boot and re-flash the rom.

I'm not all that familiar with Myn's but I hope that does the trick for you.

Well go back to a bootable rom using your nandroid for now i guess.

Try using caulkins format-all.zip if you decide to flash again.

One thing i notice since i did the restore/recovery, battery wont last more than 4-5 hrs when just sitting around. not sure what is running in the background to drain it. Also, when opening up webpages or email it is very laggy. when you click on the email it takes about 10 seconds for it to open up? same with webpages, not as slow though.. Also when trying to get emails it takes about 30-45 seconds for it to recieve andthing. the icon on top just spins and spins. use to only take about 10 seconds or so. I did flash the updated radio/wimax? would that cause the issues?
