[ROM] Carbonite Fusion G v1.0 ***2.3.3 leak base*** (UPDATED 5/24/11)

i installed Carbonite Fusion G 1.0 yesterday and LOVE it. first rom i have installed on my droid incredible and am quite pleased with it's general appearance and layout. only problem i am having is the banking apps i use won't let me log into my accounts. i did a search online and read something about motorola releasing an update to fix the issue. 1. i don't have a Motorola ARIX which i guess is the phone with the reported problem. 2. i can't find the update on the market that they supposedly released. did i do something wrong during the installation of the ROM or is it a glitch in the ROM?

I had a really bizarre issue with .5 where one morning I just got stuck in a boot loop. I did not install anything new, but all of a sudden got a bootloop. I reinstalled CM7 to get by but will give G 1.0 a shot.

Hey Trock, let me ask this. Are there any confirmed/documented issues with CF.5 and either ZDBox and/or Lookout Mobile Security? I reinstalled fresh CF.5 this morning and restored all apps from My Backup Pro, rebooted and once it came back up, I noticed the ZDBox icon was in the notification bar, but Lookout wasn't. When I tried to unlock the screen and go to apps, it rebooted. Upon reboot, the exact thing happened again...a few more times actually. So now I have reflashed a fresh copy of CF.5 and installed all apps manually except ZDBox and Lookout and the phone is working great. Just wanted to ask and pass along this information.

I am sorry you have been having issues! I am not familiar with "ZDBox" but I will check it out. I never had issues with lookout before. Did you by any chance get an update for those apps? I have had problems with Slacker Radio the past few months after they updated, I had an old version in TB and since I restored it I've had no issues. Not saying my Rom is not at fault but I would start there. I will look further into this though. I'm curious.

Did the app dev release an update or Moto? If it was Moto you will not find it since it is not the same manufacturer. I can look into this issue but I need more specifics. PM me if you need to.

I am definitely not pointing at the rom as the problem, and yes, it's possible an update of either ZDBox or Lookout may have caused the issue. Like I said, it's running great right now with neither of them installed so I think I'll to a nandroid backup, then reinstall Lookout and see what happens. If it remains stable I'll just find a replacement for ZDBox. :)

Don't worry, I didn't think you were blaming the Rom. I know there is an issue with some apps not working on Rooted phones, not sure if this is the same. I have not come up with anything yet. Let me know what you find out after you try to re-install them.

I have the latest version of the apps since I had to reinstall everything after the whipe and install of the ROM. It has also effected a program I have called privacystar which is used to block unwanted phone calls and requires access to an account to verify subscription. So far the list of affected apps are:

Privacystar
Chase Mobile
Fidelity Mobile

Let me know what specifics you need and I will be happy to supply them. I am more than pleased with the ROM so I don't plan on reverting back anytime soon.

Unfortunately I can't send any private message till I make 5 posts and I just registered

Oh and Gtalk does work in 1.0 if you haven't flashed it yet.

D'OH!!! And I just got .5 all reinstalled and all apps running EXCEPT ZDBox, and I was only using it for battery status and temp, but there are 100 other apps that do the same thing. All I can figure is there apparently was an update for ZDB and that update did not play nice with CF.5. So far, it's been running great for the last few hours without any issues.

I guess I'll nandroid it and download 1.0 and give it a shot.

Thanks again Trock. I have to say that of all the Sense rom's I've tried, this is the one I've used and kept the longest. :D

Sweet I going to flash it today, I have been running tmartins zip of the original Verizon leak. that rom has been great and it has no tweaks, Im excited to try this one with the tweaks.
I have been hoping someone would tweak this leak

Thanks
Hitch

Hello,

This is my first time modding my phone, and I am stuck in a boot loop.

I have had it rooted since the root first happened, but I have never tried modding before. I loaded the G 1.0 zip to my sdcard, from clockworkmod i backed up, wiped existing cache, data, then loaded installed from the .zip on the sdcard. It tells me the update installed and I reboot. Then I get stuck in a loop.

Is there a step I am missing? My clockworkmod was installed quite a long time ago, does that need to be updated?

Any help is appreciated, i really like the looks of this rom Thanks!

You may need to upgrade to one of the clockworkmod 3.x.x.x recoveries. You can revert to your backup using the restore functionality in clockwork and then update your recovery from there, either with ROM manager, or manually using something like Inc Bits (by Doug Piston). Good luck!

dont forget to go to advanced and wipe your d cache as well as the others you did.
like others said, its probably your older version of cwm
good luck

this rom is super sweet, battery life is unreal, the phone has been up for 12 hours and im still at 80% left

Thanks for the quick response. I think that is the problem. I have version 2.5.1.5 so it is not compatible with 2.3. I am having a hell of a time trying to update to 3.x I have run the latest release flash and also updated from ROM Manager, but when I boot to recovery I still have the same version.

You flashed the latest recovery through ROM Manager? And it still does not take? Did you flash 3.0.0.8 twice before rebooting into recovery?

Sent from Chucks new phone. "Flash Chuck, flash!"
