ROM Choices...

I just rooted my Inc2 and installed the Virtuous Affinity 2.05.0 ROM (1st ROM I have used). So far so good, but I have read a lot about MikRunny v1.01 ROM. There is not much talk about VA 2.05.0 Rom so I just wanted to get some opinions on what people think of these two ROMs.

Virtuous isn't a bad ROM by any means, but I'm running and prefer MikRunny over it. It has more tweaks (customizable) and seems to perform better.

Once you go to MikRunny and get it set you will be hooked. It is extremely fast and stable. The Sense 3.5 is great to have. Hopefully soon he will get a leak of the ICS builds and Sense 4.0 and we can all upgrade. There is a ton of customization you can do that is built into the ROM and then there are three or four guys that are literally busting their humps and creating some incredible (forgive the pun) themes for the ROM. Flash a backup of your current ROM and give it a try. You will be glad that you did.

Have any of you guys tried AOKP?
i ask bc, i rooted my girl's dinc2 the other day, but have been busy with school so i havent gotten to romming it yet.
I run aokp (usually) on my gnex, so just curious if you've all tried it out yet on the dinc.

Yea man I actually tried that a while back. It ran alright, still had a few problems, such as with the camera. I don't really care for ICS much and like Sense way better than AOSP, but it's just a preference I have.

I'll have to let you know about the camera on the newest build because the front and back seem to be working now. I'm waiting for everything to download.

Don't worry about it.. Only time I plan on running ICS is with Sense on it. And there's already a ROM out for that that's currently being worked on.

I recommend the CM9 Kang/WIP for the Inc2:
[ROM] CM9 Kang/WIP for the Inc2 - RootzWiki

Way more complete than the AOKP rom!

Unlike AOKP, most of the "signature" ICS stuff works in the CM9 Kang/WIP. Face unlock is a little iffy. It works about 75% of the time, then for some strange reason doesn't. ;-) You can still use the PIN, so no problem. The camera works in both still and panorama mode! The video doesn't seem to work. Streaming voice to text works great!!

I'm not a fan of skins. Sense is probably the best skin I've seen, but still, I'd rather a straight Android experience. It's not like the old days. The things that Sense brought to the party are available as apps now.

I'm using

ROM: CM9.0.0-RC0-vivow-KANG
Kernel: 2.6.35.14-cm-g6a5905d aeroevan
Android: ICS 4.0.4

sometimes when I turn wifi on it says that the mobile network is disconnected...n when I restart the phone, the brightness go dim n i gotta manually fix it again, alot of problems on this..

CodeName Android over at rootzwiki.com Though it might be 4.0.3.

I used CNA on my gNex for a while. Great rom.

I need to flash a rom to my son's dinc2. CNA is an obvious choice BUT...it says the video camera doesn't work. Can the use off an app such as Pudding Camera solve this?

very unlikely. Probably won't see working camera for Ics until an official Ics leak for the inc2

I don't know about that. It appears that Hawknest and Newt are really close to getting the camera working on their ROM. So it might be just a little sooner than you think. ;)
