ROM Flashing Issue

I've been running CM7 and I'm really happy with it, but I've been hearing a lot about this Nils Gingersense ROM so I figured I'd give it a try. This isn't my first rodeo and I did my homework too - I've got an AMOLED screen so I downgraded my CWM to 3.0.0.7 for smooth sailing. I boot into recovery, clear data, clear cache, clear dalvik, then install zip from SD - the Business Gingersense 3D v.3.0 zip that I got directly from the xda forums. It loads everything up in recovery and tells me it's complete. I reboot the device. It won't go past the splash screen after an hour and a half. What gives?

*Edit* Just realized the link to the xda page is old, or not completely current. Trying to flash v2.1 now, will update.

This is where I got the newest release Of Nils Business Sense 3.0 v 2.1 at it was updated on (8/23/11 to V2.1)

You are going from AOSP to a sense rom. When you clear data, cache and dalvik, just make sure you do it three times each. This way you ensure that all the old files get cleared out and there is nothing to corrupt your new rom install. Give that a try and see what happens.

It's different from David's link. It Android 2.3.3 but other than that it's hard to tell what the differences are from the descriptions in the posts or screen shots.

You should have no problems with 3.0.0.8 clockwork on AMOLED, that's what I used.

I would try wiping again and re-flashing.
