Hey guys, sorry if i reposted these questions

I have a couple questions about ROMS.. im currently running Lotus and its great

My questions are

If i backup my phone with this Rom and switch to ROM abc and dont like/ what ever..... Can i restore my Lotus backup or would i have to reinstall it also would i have to wipe data/cache/davilk

My second question is it says to place the rom on the root of my SD where exactly is that.. i downloaded Lotus on my phone then moved it to the main portion of my SD card is that ok or should i move it somewhere else

and finally if i wanted to try a kernal do i flash that via CWR or from HBoot.... if from HBoot can you point me to a TuT please

Thanks in advance im a noob to android and my TB is my first so i dont want to screw it up...

1. When you backup your Rom it will make a backup of all your settings and app's so even if you do wipe (which is not needed) and restore your backup you won't lose any data/apps that were on the phone at the time the backup was made.

2. The root of your sdcard card means that its on the base of the card and not inside any folders.

3. When flashing kernels you do that in CWR just like you would with a Rom and no need to wipe your data just wipe cache and dalvak.

hope this helps

It does very much thx for the quick reply

if you can answer one more question for me that would be great... i still have the PG05IMG on my SD from when i rooted should i take it off or keep it... im assuming if i want to flash a new RUU i would take it off

Definitely remove it. If not and you get a rom/kernel that causes a boot loop you're in trouble until you get it off.

If you get stuck in boot loop your only option is to power off and boot to Hboot to get to recovery, but with the pg05 file on there hboot wont let you get to recover until it's off.
