[ROM] Incredible Sept 2011 Rooted Gingerbread OTA

No, you do not need to rename the file and yes, you are correct, you flash this in clockwork.

Hope this helps.

OK thanks. I did end up renaming to update.zip and flashed it. First time I tried in clockwork it started then failed for some reason. Works great.

Strange thing is even after doing a full reset it still had settings etc. Like it still did not factory reset. I had to reset it in clockwork.

Some have had luck just wiping cache and dalvik cache, others not - You did a full wipe on the first one so a cache and dalvik wipe should be enough. You won't lose your settings.

The latest one from XDA has the prop build fixed to show the correct screen size. My hardware version is still wrong but that is not a big deal. I am sure there are fixes we may not see but the latest .3 for rooted has the latest radio in it as well. I flashed mine before going to .3 and saw some good results from doing so. I flashed over .2 to .3 after wiping dalvick and my cache. No issues.

You mean the correct screen size in settings (dims only) not actual size on the screen?

And all info was still there? or did you restore all the apps again from backup?

Sorry for the questions.
The next two days I have to travel to Harlem, NY and Long Island and don't want to be without a phone.

I loaded this up last week and started configuring it for my brother since Im going to be giving it to him. The Thunderbolt is a great phone and even better now that I have LTE in my area.

I have noticed some issues though.

I cant seem to get it to pick up the current market version.
The market will not pull any of his purchased or downloaded apps.

I have force stopped the market and cleared its cache over and over. Power the phone on and off. I even went and did a few full resets. Nothing has worked. If I manually load the latest market and it wont pick them up Im thinking of just unrooting and loading the stock OTA since he really does not need root. I have also noticed that I have to reset the phone in Clockwork to get a full reset. Doing this through the normal way does not reset fully.

Any thoughts or ideas?

I did nothing to my phone recently and my Market now shows Verizon when in the Market. The one weird thing I keep noticing is that when in My Apps it keep fluctuating. Two days ago I had 50, yesterday I had 49 and today 48. I have not removed anything.

If you are running the rooted September OTA - the dev fixed the VZW mistakes in it before posting it. That's why you are seeing Verizon in the market - your screen size should be correct as well. ;)

Mine said Sprint till a few days ago. The Rooted OTAs from XDA all had that as well. They fixed the build prop but this must come from someplace else. Anyways mine is fixed.

Popped this onto my phone a few nights ago and consistently get a force close when trying to get into Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks. Kind of annoying since I can't manage my roaming preferences.

Update: Just found in the xda thread that the inability to access Mobile Networks is due to flashing the DTR. Time to reflash without it!

If you are locked up - I would start a new thread so there is no confusion. In the new thread, tell us if you are rooted or not, what ROM you are running and what you were doing when the device locked up.

Thanks.
