I have updated MiRaGe with the following few changes
- Android security fix 8219321 (CYAN-1602) to Bluebox security bug merged
- Superuser updated to latest version
- Updated to the latest MiRaGe kernel

If I had waited one day, I could have loaded up the 07132013 version instead of 04152013. It doesn't look like there are enough changes that I really NEED to update it again.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but did fast charge get dropped somewhere along the way? I feel like my phone used to charge faster on an older version (I think I had 07302012 before).
Anyway, thanks mrg666 for all your hard work and thanks to the rest of this great community for being so helpful.

LOL. Don't you see the Bluebox security bug fixed? That is the purpose of this build not additional features.

So is the VM670-CM7.2-IHO-07132013_MiRaGe.zip just an update?? It won't install and the file seems rather small. I'm trying this after using Harmonia 2 for some time. If this is just an update file where is original, maybe I'm just blind, but I don't see it on this thread.

It's a full rom. Make sure you downloaded it correctly. Check the md5 to be sure.

@mrg666 ... since updating to the new 07-13-13 build, it seems like the battery takes longer to charge, but it is the original over 2 year old battery.
Also, while browsing the forums with the charger plugged in, the battery is getting pretty warm while just before flashing the new build, the battery was always cool. Could be a coincidence i guess, the battery is old.
One more thing, phone gets hot and reboots after a couple of YouTube videos.
Thank you for your hard work, just wanted to report after flashing latest build, which i'm sure are all due to old battery.

Thanks for reporting but I didn't change anything in the ROM that can cause what you describe. I have just merged the bug fix about signatures and replaced superuser. I don't see any difference in battery charge or drain either. Let me try Youtube; I will post if I see a problem with that.

I had the hot battery problem/reboot while on youtube too with my Elite when I updated the ROM I was on.
After wiping everything including data then reflashing it went away. You could try that.

Yeah, I find 2-3 years is about the life expectancy of cell phone batteries. The only thing I can suggest is running it down completely to empty then charging it to see if it helps...probably not, but can hurt to try.

I let the battery go down to 5%,plugged it in at 6:00pm, turned everything off , 3g ,data,sync, didn't touch the phone. Turned it on twice to see where battery was at.
At 9:00 pm battery was fully charged, so it took 3 hours to fully charge battery, i don't know how long it should normally take, but that seems pretty fast, never really timed it before?
Anyone else?

Ummm, I have a tmobile mytouch 3g that i want to root, but i honestly dont know how. Plus, i dont want to brick my phone so I really need helop. I m just now getting into this whole tech with phones thing. I know some basics, but i reallly need someones help who is expirenced with this. I dont even know how to post a new topic lol.

You are in the wrong forum. Root methods, recoveries, and ROMs are specific for devices. You need to find the forum for your device. Then, you need to read a lot. Start with the stickies. Those are the posts at the top of the forum that the moderators see as useful. Read them all, and if you still have questions, ask in your phone's forum. If you read enough, and ask questions, you probably won't brick your device.

I would suggest keep your rom updated. It fixes bugs from previous builds and helps out a lot.
