[INFO]LG Optimus Q ROM
This is close to stock but has some minor tweaks for you at the moment. This has bloat removed and is around 80 megs in size. If you want a solid and fast stock ROM here is your thread for the Optimus Q.

REMEMBER! Make a backup in Recovery just in case...

sorry im new to this but this is the SLider section and this says for a Q, will it work on my VMOSlider too?

No it will not, if you read the OP it says that this is STRICTLY for the Optimus Q. Not the Optimus Slider. Thanks for asking before you flashed tho!

the rom is a nice build it's been running low memory and since charged this morning and using web related stuff the battery is still at 75% which i would normally be at 50% at best, its really quick menus feel snappier .im rooting my gf's phone with this rom too as we speak.i give it a thumbs up

I just wanted to say (I know its my first post on here)...this rom is very nice. I'm new to android but certainly not new to the Linux OS. I think it is a bit snappier, I've yet to find any problems...though it does seem very stock. I decided to load your rom because I was quickly filling up the internal memory on this phone even after moving all my apps to the sd card (that i could). The flashing was quite straight forward. I do recommend everyone with this phone after flashing updates their profile and prl. I know the radio.img isn't touched but its a good practice to have with these phones as sprint is expanding a lot in my area at least. I did have one screw up...entirely my fault though. After the initial reboot (following the flash) the screen was a bit laggy and I ended up in spanish during the initial setup. IDK how I changed the language I never even saw the prompt it was just lagging at first. I couldn't read anything in front of me so I reflashed it lol. The second time worked beautifully.

I highly recommend everyone keep this .zip handy. I personally backed it up to my computer so as to free up space on the sdcard. This is a nice build. I like the space you freed up. This phone is really pretty nice if you know what you're doing with it. I'd love to be able to flash the kernel to attempt an overclock. You should be able to overclock this cpu to around 1ghz. Though, this phone is actually snappier than my gf's unrooted Galaxy S 4g. Thats pre-this rom and I'll run a quadrant test to see if theres any difference with this rom compared to the stock built in rom.

Thank you!!!

Edit: Without any SetCPU or any other tweaking... out of the box it gets a quadrant score of 1040 whereas when I ran the test initially on the previous rom that score was in the mid 900s. After rooting and tweaking on the old rom I was able to attain similar scores to this one. Though it had a laggier interface. I do not know if your changes made any difference to the quadrant scores or if that was simply a poorer run...however, I didn't retest before I went straight into rooting the device and installing setcpu so I can only go by that initial score.

Quadrant scores mean absolutely nothing and should be taken with an extremely large grain of salt. In testing, my Optimus S has had scores all over the map (literally) under the exact same testing conditions.

Just a thought.

How do you go about updating the su binaries? It continuously fails... I was stupid and removed the root with gingerbreak ... cant reroot either. Now I'm reflashing...

I am a noob so please bear with me........I managed to performed recovery and made a backup per instructions from sticky thread. can someone point me to directions on flashing the new rom?

Thanks for your patience......

Place the ROMs zip on root of sd.
Reboot into recovery.
Clear cache.
Clear dalvik-cache in advanced options menu.
install zip through "install zip from sd"
Select your zip.
Flash it.
Reboot phone from recovery.
Be happy. (:

Thanks a bunch Tyler, one more question though, I have tried to reboot to recovery by holding vol down/power and vol down/power/home........ but just reboots to normal home. Obviously I am doing it wrong.....LOL

OK scratch the above question..LOL, I rebooted to recovery installed rom as per your instructions above....

Now how do I confirm I am running Team Hydro rom? Should it be obvious?

Again thanks

While the phones off. Hold down the volume down home and power button at the same time and wait till you boot into recovery.
But just to make sure you have a custom recovery, have you flashed the custom recovery to your phone after rooting? You'll need to do this first if you want to flash any ROMs or themes.
The stock recovery won't allow you to do this.

Sorry about the delayed reply been a crazy day at work!
Any way I guess I am really showing my noobness LOL , I did not realize I needed to flash
The custom recovery...... is that a straight forward process?

Again thanks for the help!

Ok think I have my head straight now. I can quick boot into recovery, at bottom of recovery
Page it says. Cwm based recovery v5.0.2.7. E: bad boot message "recovery"
Is that good? I thought it flashed the rom but it does not look any different. Phone was already
Rooted. I thought it might list different info under about phone?
Do you think the flash didn't take?
