I contacted LG today (shot in the dark I know) to see if they even had plans for an update. I doubt I will get a straight answer but it was worth a try. I figure it never hurts to ask.

They already made the source available to Sprint were just waiting on Sprint to release it.

What kind of cracks me up is LG said they have no part in the software updates. Below is the main body of the reply I got back.

Quality is a top priority at LG. We continuously strive to improve our products and our service, based on the requests of our valued customers. We are always happy to assist our customers in any way possible.


Unfortunately Lg is not given any information as to software updates, we only manufacture the phone and sell them to the carriers at a 3rd of the cost.
Software updates are strictly decided by the carrier, a lot of it has to do with the marketing of the phones at the stores.

According too last report ICS Update is slated for Oct 24th.

What a bunch of bologna everyone knows the manufacturer writes the code, then its shipped off to the carrier to be modified then approved.
