I have a rooted thunderbolt and whenever i try to fix permissions using rom manager, it gives me an error saying

An error occured while attempting to run priveleged commands.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try force closing the app and re-opening it. Or check your app drawer to make sure the superuser app is there

Hello, I am not sure if I am posting in the right place, or if this is even going to make sense.

Ok, I rooted my phone last week, and with help of some other people on here, I got it working ok. I downloaded rom manager and i have downloaded some roms, but when I flash (i think) and use them, there is no data connection on any of them. I have tried like 5 or 6 different roms, but none have data connection. Most of them I can't get past the phone activation screen. What do I need to do to be able to use those other roms?

thanks for your help, in advance

You need to use the correct radio for the right ROM. There are radios that need to be used for Froyo based ROMs and then there are radios based on Gingerbread.
Here is a guide for upgrading the radio for Gingerbread ROMs: http://forums.androidcentral.com/th...-mr2-compatible-rom-radio-mr1-after-root.html
Without the right Radio & ROM combo you will have no connection for service from Verizon which is what you are experiencing.
What ROM are you looking to use?

I wanted to download the SkyRaider rom, but I can't get connection. I will try a new radio, but I am a little confused on that whole process. I think I checked the md5sums correctly. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

You have the wrong radio. Look at the link posted above and study the steps. Flashing a radio can brick you real quick. First to know is always flash with a battery above 30%. Good start now study more.

I'm rooted and have s-off but I cannot reboot into recovery and it says I don't have root. Any help would be nice.

Try downloading Titanium Backup and installing BusyBox within the app where it says problems. If that doesn't work try updating Superuser from the market.
