Holy crap v2.1 is very snappy. I did a complete wipe (coming from Nameless) installed noIQpatch, restored from Titianium and installed sprintapps.zip. Zero issues and the new ROM bliss begins.

EDIT: Battery life seemed worse on Rebornv2.1 so I did a nand back to Nameless.

ok Darn I loged in to ask if anyone noticed(or knows why the wireless tethering looks like a ad-hhoc) and i see the roms been updated lol. I am still on ver nameless1.0 lol i guess i need to wipe and restart.

The tweaks were made to improve performance at the cost of battery life. What I have in v2.1 is a good balance between performance and battery life.

I just compared my Linpack results from v2 (9.745) vs v2.1 (9.444). It doesn't look like there is much of a hit to performance. If v2.1 helps with the battery life I think I can live with the decrease in performance.

The answer to this is usually the same. Yes you can, but if you run into troubles, the first thing we're gonna say is "wipe data and flash again".

just a few questions was the 3G icon changed to EV?

And USB mass Storage with a micoUSB cable to a PC not working connects to the PC but dont give the option to Connect mass Storage anymore (had this issue since and update with tunderRom awhile back but have since then done a full wipe with namelessROM)

Check USB DEBUGGING setting. If that is on, you will not get USB mass storage.

Ok I got it - Download adfree from market then uninstall it poof ads are back. As a web designer that offers nothing but free service sites ad blockers suck and I'm working on a detection script that will auto bounce you from apps and sites that detect ad blocking. Keep that in mind.

lol, almost sounds like a threat.

I love adblockers. Use em on my phone and computer. I just wish my phone had the same whitelisting ability as my computer. For example, AndroidCentral is whitelisted....I see ads here. Most of the sites I visit are whitelisted. I use adblockers to block obnoxious, annoying sites.

I wish I could whitelist apps on my phone the same way, is this possible? I don't mind ads in most apps, as long as they aren't horrendously obtrusive, but in certain apps I want em gone, (angry birds lags like a sonuva*****, for example).

Or are android adblockers a "all or nothing" approach?

This is just a request can yall change the (in my opinion and my opinion alone) tacky power bar in the status menu to the one that is in cm7 ie zefie's rom.

Unless there is a way to change it that I am aware of, please do feel free and let me know.

I do appreciate you incorporating the power bar in v2 though.

If you are just talking about the look of the power bar, there is a post a few pages back with a flashable attachment. It will give you dark backgrounds, and there is a version that keeps the icons bright even when the button is toggled off.

You can also change the highlight color using the PowerControl Widgets Configuration which shows up as a preinstalled app.

Additionally, there are instructions a few pages back on creating your own button graphics, if none of the above suggestions work for you.

If you search the thread there are lots of posts on this topic. I personally just found it easier to use Google Voice as my voicemail notification, works fine for me and it's easy to set up.

EDIT: I did the search myself, and it looks like voicemail will be included in version 3, but I'm not sure if people have gotten it working with the current version.
