[ROM] RvU 1.3.2 WORKING 4G!!! Sync Fixed / ROM Manager Support

K, sorry, again, I am missing things left and right tonight.

On to the camera thing. I installed ATK, and killed the camera task and the camera is now working again. Why isn't ATK built into a rom by default. I know it is able to multi-task and all of that, but that is just weird. This forum is kinda dead tonight. Keith if you run across anything that you want some one to test. I am up for it. Heck I am starting to understand this stuff alot more.

Sorry for radio silence, Jerry and I will have a new ROM later fixing the majority of issues, including WindstReam syncing and booting into Fake Recovery with ROM Manager. I have a meeting today at work And I can't actually slack today. :P

I do not see a download link for the removed apps. I would like to install friend stream back please.

Cool...Can't wait.
I was just trying to get the ROM Manager stuff working so now I can hold off till the new rom.
Doing backups in ROM Manager doesn't seem to do anything after I enter the file name.
Is this normal or is this also a problem that needs fixing?

Thanks for the hard work!

The stock toolbox has a reboot function built in. This is what we were using, because there was no reason to ever use it besides the command from the shell.

Now that koush has rom manager working, a reboot binary was added to /system/bin/ and the rom manager app can reset the device.

I was the one who advised Keith to incorporate this into an update, because the update script to set up busybox and the default toolbox already creates an entry for /system/bin/reboot that needs deleted when the working file is added, so holler at me for having to wait lol

tl;dr - Rom Manager will work as intended in next update. Didn't release a patch because it's complicated :)

k, my contacts pictures are no longer showing in my sms inbox. it still shows the pictures on the htc widget but not in the inbox or in the text message itself. i dont know if i cause this somehow but wonder if anyone has any ideas.

so can i use a terminal emulator to do things like reboot?

Question: was the boot sound nuked? Not that I miss it, more curious than anything, when I start my EVO up I no longer have any sound during the startup sequence. Everything else seems to be working, including sound once booted.

Doing root, backup and flash for the first time.... fingers crossed. :) Thanks for all your hard work!

Long time BB user but Android Noob.

Should work (it does from adb)
Code:
su
reboot (or reboot recovery)

Hey Jerry, this is what i get form terminal on the device: (works fine from adb)

Code:
/ $ su
~ # reboot
reboot: no such tool
~ # reboot recovery
reboot: no such tool
~ #

Ideas?

You could try
/system/bin/reboot
or
/system/xbin/reboot

or it may not work after all lol. I had to set the toolbox symlink so that reboot (specifically reboot recovery) worked from adb, otherwise we weren't able to reboot directly into recovery.

Hopefully Keith's latest (he's testing now) will also allow things like quick boot to work and make it easy.

No go on either of those. Hopefully whatever changes Keith makes will work.

I want to root my Evo so bad, but before I do that I just have a few question.
Once I root the Evo will this break the Hotspot cause I use the hotspot a lot to connect on my PS3 cause the WIFI Tethering does not work on the PS3. Also will this fix the WIFI signal strength issue that Evo is having. Please let me know. Also is this the step I need to do first {tutorial} how to root \0/ - xda-developers , before I install the RvU1.3 . Sorry for the noobe question. Thanks.:D

Uh, figured I'd chime in. I'm getting weird memory card happenings with this rom like a mother. It DOES have the newest OTA cooked in right? Either way, me and Aldiko have very differing opinions as to when my memory card is inserted and what it contains D;
