can i go in to app folder and remove stuff i dont want or need ? like you could with the hero 2.1 custom roms ?
We don't have write access to the system/app folder with our current setup (no one does... NAND security is fairly top notch on this one).
So, if you do it, it has to be done all via command line access.
Check out this great thread:

no im talking before i flash it then resign it and then flash it
Sorry... kind of slow on the uptake today.

Is anyone else having issues with SU requests. Every time I start titanium, I get transfered to the SU screen, but the whit boxes with the "approve" and whatnot never come up. Android eventually gives me a notice saying the app has stopped responding and the option to force close or wait.
Ideas anybody?
Happened to me, check your usb connection too. The price we pay for not having true recovery in NAND.
[Fixed] Well looks like I killed my EVO already... (Lost SD & USB) - xda-developers
Are you doing it from your sdk/tools directory?
adb shell
su
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o rmnet0 -j MASQUERADE
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I can't be too careful.
Do I need a custom recovery to flash this ROM? I've flashed ROMs on my Cliq a hundred times but never without a custom recovery and I have an irrational fear of somehow bricking my new EVO.
