[ROM] RvU 1.3.2 WORKING 4G!!! Sync Fixed / ROM Manager Support

Yep, wiped data and dalvik. Definitely isn't hardware, this is my 2nd Evo since Friday and both had this issue after the OTA update your ROM is based on. Both phones had the issue with both root options and when unrooted as well.

There are several people on XDA with wake lock issues but it's sporadic at best with solutions stemming from killing the calendar to not signing into Flickr.

I'm inclined to think it may be software related and when I have time, I'll put the phone back to stock and start from there to pinpoint where it begins. Maybe something I installed is causing it.

I need to know what version of the Kernel you are running and what version of the Kernel she is running.

Just flashed 1.2 with the latest radio.
Same thing: 4G connects but no internet access.

Did you wipe? No one has reported 100% wake time.

Sounds like defective hardware, maybe you should use the RUU, and go back to stock?

I'm having the same issue as well after going to .6.

It's not a big issue, to be sure, but it's not hardware related.

If your phone refused to sleep while plugged in, then it can be turned on/off in Settings - Applications - Development - Stay Awake.

I'd love to get back reports about users who have 4G in there area.

Are you getting 4G data after flashing the new Radio? I am not, however, at least 3 users have reported to me that they have when they haven't before.

This is baffling... and the more I investigate, I think it comes down to build numbers on hardware. That isn't good. At all.

Have you downloaded Spare Parts to see what's doing the wake lock? My first experience with the stock OTA download and 100% wake was caused by the calendar. Someone on XDA suggested deleting Flickr sync which I did have set up. Once I deleted that, the phone started sleeping... for a few hours. Then it went back to 100% awake. After that point, it never pinpoints anything as causing it yet the phone is 100% awake for sure and battery life is quite bad.

Now when I start my phone, regardless of the rom (stock, this one, rooted/not), I have to have a task manager kill everything running before the damn thing acts normal. I haven't found anyone who has this same issue as me. They all seem to have found closure in the Flickr or killing the Calendar fix. I'm not so lucky.

He can you confirm that after doing the toast root, then flashing this ROM, in recovery do users still have permission to r/w from the system/app directory? If you can confirm I'm going to tweak the warning and instructions on my bloatware thread. Thanks for your time.

I'm sure most people would rather flash this and deal with a few bugs here and there rather than just use toast and have the market broken on them.

turned off gps turned of 4g ( not in my area ) turned off auto brightness

removed all the sprint junk

Thats a big 10-4. We're being very careful not to introduce anything that would touch recovery.

While I was running my rounds for work I saw my EVO pop into and out of 4g a couple times. Strength ran from almost nothing to full bars. I grabbed a couple logs of it. Hope this helps some.

New to Androids so not sure what info is really needed, so I try to give it all. I am currently rooted and flashed to RvU 1.2 at the beginning of this thread. Everything is working great except a few apps that I had previously been using FC on me. 4G is fully functioning with ok speeds. Ran 4 speed tests while I was in 4G. Speeds ranged from 1.42-2.6 DL and 0.26-1.05 UL from Richmond, VA to a Washington, D.C server.

Seriously tho, I tested this ROM out fairly well. Been running it, and never had an issue with stock functions not working right except the 4G, which is now fixed.

BTW, I won't really ever use 4G even though I am in Philly. Why? It's a battery slayer... and not that much more quicker IMO.
