[ROM][Sense 2.1] WildHeroC for LS670 ALPHA 0

Sweet! Downloading now. I'll flash this just for S&G's tonight to see where this is going. Might send you a PM if I feel like I have time to screw around with beta (alpha?) testing over the weekend. I'm on ZVD though so that might be a non-starter if you're getting to the point of getting data working.

Sweet rom, testing right now. Also, AFAIK, you need to manually format /system /boot /data /cache. Because when I flashed first try, Sprint Bloat-Ware was still here, plus HTC apps. Many force closes so I'm going to re-flash. Also, you should try copying the firmware from the stock-rom to the WildHeroC because when I tried that I got 1xRTT speeds. But still the force closes, and Browser doesn't work when doing that. But great job Drew, most people devs didn't even try Sense, or at most getting a Sense Rom to boot ! :D :D :D

There isn't a ton to see but it's pretty functional for an hours worth of work.

Also, it takes a very long time to boot the first time no thanks to bloated Sense. Subsequent reboots are pretty quick.

Question, is it posted on Atrium? And I'm patiently waiting for at least a Alpha 1 with wifi. :) :-X

Dude, this is going to be pretty awesome once you get it running. I've never been a huge fan of Sense, but after playing around with this a little bit I have to say it fits well with this phone. I don't think it's going to pull me away from CM9 though. ;)
I didn't mess around with it for very long because I need a working phone for the rest of the week :)

I couldn't get it to shut down from the power menu - I had to pull the battery.
UI is nice and smooth and all the Sense stuff you expect to be there is there (duh).
I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of progress you make with this.
Overall this is a great start!

Btw, don't get me wrong... this has potential to be awesome... just never thought I'd see it on an Optimus S... ;)

I think I'll wait until you have at least the phone working... probably SMS... as long as WIFI works, I'm good on data... :)

I've also have had the menu power-button issue. Battery pull needed. Flashed on ZVJ. Not being a pesk, just trying to help. Plus, I liked the ROM so much, that I did a NAND backup of it , before I restored stock. :D

Ugh. I'll look into it. I think that is an issue with the Optimus One ports as well. Easy to fix? Probably not.

A little more detail: long-press power button pulled up menu as usual. Whenever I touched any of the options in the menu, it just went back to the home screen without executing the command. Reboot button brought up the reboot options dialog, but again, choosing one of those options went back to home screen without executing the command.

Oh...I can't reproduce that. Did you wipe everything before flashing?

I didn't have that issue either when I had it installed for a few hours yesterday to play with the rom

Did full wipe plus used the debug-formatsystem zip before flashing. After pulling the battery, I did not reboot back into your Sense ROM, I just recovered my CM9 nand. I'll try again this afternoon to see if I can reproduce the issue if things are slow at work.
