[ROM] Stock Rooted 2.08.651.2 - With HTC OTA (8/26/2011)

Hey,
I appreciate the work you've done but I have a question. I just loaded the stock 2.08 ROM you posted but I noticed that the lock screens aren't working right IMO. Photo album lock isn't loading photos, weather lock isn't showing weather, and the clock lock isn't showing the clock. Something to add to this is that the short cuts on the lock screen aren't there either. Any idea why? Did I do something (or forget to do something) when I flashed from stock ROM? Any suggestion or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used clockwork ROM manager. I downloaded the file posted and used the manager to install. It asked if I wanted to wipe all data prior to flashing which I said yes. After flashing I did do a full restore from titanium back up (app, system data, and app cache I do believe)

What ROM were you on before?

I don't remember the number off hand but it was sprint stock ROM right out of the box. I used the revolutionary rooting method to unlock it. I can get the ROM number if needed but it was the stock ROM right out of the box with hboot 1.4 if I recall correctly.

Nope, I already now the problem...

You restored system data from an older ROM version.

Wipe all data / factory reset. then reflash. Dont restore anything. Load apps fresh. You can try to restore data but not SYSTEM data. I would recommend not restoring anything and just reloading all apps fresh.

Newbie here.

If I download and flash this Stock Rom, will I be able to return or exchange my HTC EVO 3D without any problems? I'm having issues with my screen that need to be repaired and I'm afraid that they will not help me because it's obviously rooted. I've been looking to unroot but have been unsuccessful. I'd like to try this ROM and see if it will work.

Sprint's policy is to not deny hardware support to rooted users (sorry I don't have a link to provide proof). Sprint store should be able to help you out, especially if its a hardware problem regardless of your root status. Its probably not a bad idea to flash the stock ROM before taking it in for service (might get a rep who is not aware of the policy) but again, it shouldn't be necessary.
